  • I love it when series that aren't fucking CastleVania (stop remixing Vampire Killer) come back to older songs and completely blow the original composition out of the water.

  • This game should have been hand-drawn instead of using polygons. Would have looked so much better. That's my only gripe. Polygons were just too rough-looking, which is because the PS1 lacked anti-aliasing.

  • never played this game and never heard of it but i want to play it now; and i want to get a saturn for astal and guardian heroes but this is just another reason for me to want to get the saturn lol....also it seems this is the first game i've seen that the player has bigger lazers than the boss lol

  • The musics of AAA and Unknown are also among the top ones. Actually most BGMs could have been featured in this video but you had to make a choice ^^

    Nice compilation anyway.

  • 好懷念...

  • GREAT MUSIC, GREAT TITLE!! *__*

  • awesome music and game.... blade gunn, thats a cool weapon. Is there any PS2 games in this style????..... minute 8:30 the thunderforce iv intro music...... man this game seems great

  • thunder force vi?

  • yea i just got it a week ago but havnt been able to play it too much couse my ps2 hardly reads the frikin game. The few ive played is great though

  • Kick. Ass. Game. On all counts.

  • i still have this game

  • Saturn must have been quite a dream console for shooter fans, huh?

  • Sounds alot like the remixed music for Hyper Duel, which is also fantastic.

  • bring a good tf game for the md aggain, man tf4 does magic, how do you get that sound at that time out of a genesis and it could be done even better.

  • 4:13 The remix version or the Thunder Force III.

  • There's a Thunder Force 5?

Oh, sweet Saturn, why did you die so fast (and without me getting one) :<

  • This is also on the psone. Great game. I highly recommend that you go find yourself a copy if you haven't played it.

  • I'd like to. But there's no way I'll ever buy a Sony product. Not even for Thunder Force. Call me stupid for my prejudice, but I always, always disliked all Sony consoles. It's just not my type of stuff ... ;)

  • In that case, you probably won't be getting a Japanese PS2, which is what Thunder Force 6 is exclusive too...

  • Yeah, you're right.

And there are no other games I NEED to have on the PS2. None on the original XBOX, either.

I'd maybe get a 360 for all the old games you can buy ... but then again ...

I already bough a Mega Drive / Genesis some weeks ago to get some good old Thunder Force 4 action on.

It still rocks. One of the best shmups every. :D

  • That is a pretty dumb prejudice to have, considering that Shinobi for PS2 is one of the best games Sega ever made.

  • Wow...I remember how awesomely the music set the atmosphere for each rockin' stage of fast paced carnage.

  • thunder force has THE BEST music of all shooting games

  • Holy cow Batman, what an awesome soundtrack!!

  • You rule, thanks for all the time you spend to bring this epic music to us. I have 75% of these games in real form, Do you own most of these or just the music? Love me some great shooter music to get my heart pumping!

  • I've never been much of a game collector, but most of them I've played and traded in over the years.

  • Man, this reminds me of the old days when I was religiously hunting TF soundtracks with an old 56k modem. You know, way back when p2p was just about reaching mainstream status. Remember Hotline, Napster and Audiogalaxy? oh lol... Cost me a fortune and I would've probably been better off importing the real CD's instead.

Shit we're all so spoiled today... Anything we want at the touch of a button.

  • I see what you're saying, but "cost me a fortune"? Downloading from Naptster...?

  • I meant I was on dial-up. Had to pay a certain fee per minute and the amount of time spent online back then wasn't much different from now ;)

  • I still remember reading a message board post on a BBS talking about this new format called 'mp3'. It seemed like it had potential.

  • I remember audiogalaxy was the only place to find real music......but it does have a good cousin soulseek....

  • Awesome! I hope you are planning to do one on G-Darius. Most incredible soundtrack for a side scroll shooter ever!

    Good job with these!

  • Oh dear god yes, G-Darius is epic stuff, so beautiful and eerily haunting.

Also Thunder Force has always had awesome music, nice one.

  • Yeah, I'm definitely gonna feature that one.

  • Kicks ask.

  • YEEEEAAAAAAA!

  • What a sick soundtrack!

  • Do anyone know the first song?

  • the music does remind you of megaman X

  • Reminds me of Megaman X, mainly the middle of the series. Pretty cool.

This game also looks ABSOLUTELY CRAZY.

  • I have this soundtrack floating around somewhere. It's pretty cool. The track at 4:12, "Legendary Wings", is my favorite.

  • Isn't it such a great track!? I love how nostalgic it is as well, using 'Back to the Fire' as part of it. 'Rising Blue Lightening' is badass as well. The Renaissance album was great as well XD

  • game looks pretty weird with those spider like lasers coming out the back

  • thanks for another great vid.

btw, whats with the imba lasers ?
