This lupo only have 6 cilinders!! This engine is the same than a VW R32. You can't put a W12 engine and gear box on transversal position in a Lupo, it's too narrow!

Este lupo solo tiene 6 cilindros! Es el mismo motor que el VW R32! No puedes montar el motor W12 mas la caja de cambios en posicion transversal en un Lupo, es demasiado estrecho!!

@JGutsems it has 2 v6 engines so it does have 12 cylinders and i am sure they are 2.8 vr6 engines not r32's

A VW W12 motor is esentially two VR6 motors put together to form a more compact V12 with staggered cylinders. Two VR6s = W12. Its justified IMO.

vw also has made a w8 and w12 engine. the w8 was used in older passat's, while the w12 is used in the VW phaeton and bentley contential

VR6 isnt a a normal 90° V6

It's a staggered six keeping the same geometry of the Lancia Fulvia.

They made it 15° between the two 'rows' in the VR6 engine, So it was possible to install a six-cylinder engine within the existing Volkswagen Group four-cylinder-model engine bays
