The purpose was to "upgrade security" cabling. There's absolutely no reason to kill power to the whole building to install low voltage cables. And, all that work centered around the elevators. Anyone remember Watergate? How long did our President keep that quiet. There was so much bickering among those of the Nixon administration that they basically blew their own cover. No, of course not. I am simply saying that these people on these tapes knew a plane hit the WTC, but they do not seem to be concerned about the identity of that plane. They are only concerned about where Flight 11 is. If I were an air traffic controller, and I learned that "a plane" struck the WTC, I would want to know the identity of that plane. Yet, no one is talking about that on these tapes.

what do you know. More hoax recordings and people actually believe this is an ATC recording. This is the most fake thing I have ever heard coming from an actual pilot who has dealt with countless atc controllers. Terminology this "Boston" controller is using, is not even correct, this is too high quality for atc recordings back in 2001 (considering all the other recordings online from that day), lastly for anyone to actually believe this is a "real" recording, your idiots.

@ASRBanshee You're wrong. I am a real pilot and I know how atc recordings work. They are clear, i've heard them. And the recording portion of 'Betty' was shown on NATGEO also. No offense, but don't go making allegations and bullshitting at everything without having correct knowledge.
Moreover, what 'correct' terminologies you're talking about, is confined only in theory. In real flying, there's no strict code, you just need to get your message across. There's a lot of traffic, so yeah!

To the contrary, they reveal utter confusion as to whether the actual events were "real or exercise". That the hijackings occurred on the very day at the very hour the US government was holding "fake hijackings" and that Norads response was to assume these were exercises says it all for me.

You do realize this is all a hollywood like skit. The terrorists and passengers were all CIA. They took off, then landed and went home and drank beer. My point above was if it is true that there were controlled explosives in the buildings (which there were), then what purpose would terrorists serve? ie..the wtc were rigged to fall in advance. So, the purpose of the planes could only be to provide the "illusion" of Islamic terror. There was no need for terrorists to bring down the towers, so it was a skit. The "terrorists and passengers" worked together.

Too much speculation and too many time-consuming questions between ATC and the military resulted in a serious waste of time that could have been used to scramble the jets way sooner. Might've made a difference had they sent them up immediately.
