Supposedly Bashki wanted to make the film into an R rated feature,but the financiers said no-no. Bashki got so frustrated with producing this film that he left film'making for almost 10 years.

And what did Bashki directed when he returned? Coolworld...

i love the animation, this is one of my favs. maybe because it is shitty...

this is however, classic fantasy style, you will find many conan stories with as much (or little) dialog and plot movement.

simple and cliche.

if your looking for some more fantasy animation try 'the flight of dragons'.

interesting concept using actors an animating over them. i have to agree that guy really was just a wimp version of he man. as far as the "boob lady" goes, well all i can say "enjoy, nerds!" 10/10 shitcase

this review was a bit too harsh. logic was'nt a strong point in the script, i agree. it involved many concepts from sword-and-sorcery and frank frazetta's art that became somehaw cliched, i also agree to that, but somehow when made to fit as a film, the parts became a good whole.

The wizard guy kinda lo0ks like Iggy Pop! This kinda reminds me of 'Heavy Metal' (1981). Notice how that bo0bgrrl's body movements are intentionally exaggerated to make her lo0k weak and worthless. Real women are insulted by that sort of thing. Piece of piss. By the way, did you ever watch 'Jonny Quest'?

Heh... I totally forgot about this movie... I rented it a million years ago. He-man vs. Heavy Metal for sure.... but it suck. Good pick John & Co.! Professor Buce = 'sad bastard who loves drooling over drawings of a half naked woman'... hahahaha!

@ProphetTenebrae I do know of the 2006 He-Man reboot. I have it dvd and it was pretty sweet. The 1990 He-Man is something I either completely forgot about from my childhood or I never saw on tv as a kid.

I agree, I wasn't a huge fan of this movie, to me, it's just your basic "guy has to save hot princess from a scary bad guy", it does have good animation, but that's all there is to this souless fantasy film with no substance, if this wasn't bad enough, the guy who directed this movie did an even shittier film called Cool World, which would be nice if you also gave that one the Shitcase treatment.
