The 2jz swap isnt all that hard if you know how to do a lil fab work and do plenty of research. I am currently helping another friend put a small block 355 chevy V8 in a 91 240sx coupe. We have cut out a lot of the firewall because we are moving it back a lil. The car is going to be completely bare on the inside. It will be mainly a track car but will still barely street legal. I will put up the video for it as soon as I get enough footage to put together a decent video. Thanks 4 all the views!!

The rb20, 25, and 26 are all great motors but unfortunately they are very temper-mental. The rb motors are very high maintenance and parts are not so easy to come by. Now the 1jz-gte and 2jz-gte are rock solid and you can get parts in the US at your local parts stores. Also in the long run the JZ motors can produce a crazy amount of power on stock internals. Either way you go it makes a sick car tho.

Total build can be done for under 7...Not easily but pretty doable...

for the price of the ls1 and supercharger you could do this swap twice. and the gt42 was only hitting 450hp cuz we were at boost cut with stock450cc injectors. the car on 20psi with 550cc injectors is 620hp.

The 2jz is'nt expensive anymore thank god so i'm dumping my 96 zenki for a 95...the obd2 is just to much of a pain in the ass for emissions with this engine. the ob1 in the 95 will work perfect!! can't wait damn.

@DbachmanProductions I know this is an older comment, but didn't Top Secret use the RB engine in their widebody supra just because it could go past 1268 HP which is what the supra maxes out at (running off of memory)

@milodaman2 Late response i know. There are 2jz with 2,200hp. If i can recall correctly they put the rb26 in the supra for high revving, more track friendly car. Getting an rb26 to 1268 hp would be an asspain compared to the jz. I hope that cleared things up, the RB26 is a amazing engine though!

The swap can be pretty pricey but if you have the car and you buy the complete drop in kit and the motor its right around 9,000 and with the 6 speed your looking at around 14,000

Also the internals of the jz motors are able to withhold up to 1000hp. The 2jz will produce around 330whp in the 240sx the 1jz is prolly around 300 to 330 whp
