just as a re sum up as i posted this ages a go. i used the old bbc f1 theme as teh background music. i did want to add more to the video but i had to time it to the length of the song. hope you all enjoy!
Anyone who calls a F1 World Champion "loser" is a loser himself/herself, that's what I guess.
Both Schumacher and Hill would have been worthy champions in 1994. Too bad that their season had to end the way it did. Schumi deserved it for some brilliant drives throughout the season (in Spain he actually made a pitstop while stuck in 5th and didn't stall), Damon for getting as close as he did in a team hit by tragedy just as the year started.
That season will always be remembered for the tradgic deaths of Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna, but also not forget the serious accidents at both Imola where a loose wheel came off Michele Alboreto's Minardi in the pits and hit crew members from Ferrari, Lotus and Benetton as well as Barrichello's practice crash along with Karl Wendlinger's accident in Monaco GP practice. Also, the Spanish GP where Schmacher drove most of the race with only 5th gear.
Also, I would like to add on to what I've already posted, you did a great job summing up the '94 season. Furthermore, I could only imagine what that season could've been if Senna and Schumacher were battling for the championship and I would've bet it would've come down to the final race at Adelaide.
The spanish race stands out for me as one of the best of this year, Schumacher displayed his brilliance, Hill picked up the pieces, Blundell scored a rare podium place if I recall!
I agree with you about the '94 Spanish GP as the best GP of that year. I was amazed that Schumacher still ran competitive lap times with only 5th gear, using different racing lines to compensate the car's problems.

How can you say Damon Hill is a loser. He is the 1996 F1 Champion, since when does a Championship winning driver become a loser. Any way this vid is not about Damon Hill, it's about one of the most well remembered season's in F1 history. Keep your negative opinon's to yourself and get your facts straight too.
How can you call the driver who almost won with the arrows car a loser? If it werent for a technicallity fault he would have won. The greatest drive by ANY driver.

Well, having adverts during F1 races is annoying, but that's how the channels make money in order to be able to offer F1 to people. But here in Finland they made it obligatory to pay about 20 euros a month to be able to watch F1, i.e. they published a new pay channel that is the only Finnish F1 supplier. The only good thing is that the races are not interrupted by adverts.
I wasn't watching F1 when it was on the BBC, people say to me that it was much better on the BBC. I don't like it on ITV because of the stupid adverts, adverts are not more important than the race so why do they put them on, they know that everybody hates them being on during a programme. Why can't they just put adverts on between each programme not during a programme. They put adverts on because it's to do with money and they don't stop anything getting in the way of that do they?
He'll always be a great, just so happen he's a great, whining, dick head... This is one of the reason Senna is considered such a great champion because he's a good guy, Schumacher however isn't. I respect the man, but I'll never respect him like Mika, Senna, Mansell, or Fangio, not even close.
Apparently something happened to make oil from the oil tank flow into the airbox and begin to be consumed by the engine, and the piston rings also leaked oil and helped this. When MArtin put the thing on start revs and released the clutch, it all went nuts because the piston rings resonated at that amount of revs and threw up 60% of the engine's oil.
Martin himself described what happened in his autobiography.

Genius choice for the background music. Especially the bit right after 3:02... Right on (the BBC Grand Prix intro). Sad season, brought a lot of changes, but in the end, it was real, genuine racing on the track.
But realize the difference between going off and impact speed. Kubica hit the wall almost straight on - at much higher angle than Senna at Tamburello - and did it at 230 not 200 km/h - telemetry does not lie. He practicaly slowed down by about 20-30 km/h. Senna hit the wall with 207 km/h - He slowed down almost by 100km/h. The answer why Kubica is alive and Senna is not is simple: HANS.
Senna was killed when a wheel+suspension hit him on the head. HANS would not have helped him (but it certainly helped Kubica). If that wheel had not hit him on the head he could still be alive, bad luck I guess...
Yes, but please remember that HANS prevents head from hitting steering wheel (it is made that way - saves your neck by keeping head still at the impact). If Ayrton's head had stood [past form of "stay" - i'm not sure, sorry :(] still, this part of suspention that you mentioned, would've probably slip by top of his helmet instead of piercing the visior. (Even then helmets were made that solid).
Not only did the suspension hit him on the head, the back of his skull was fractured because of it hitting the car. The HANS would have prevented that, but, as you said, it would most likely not have stopped the suspension hitting his head.
OMG... READ CAREFULLY WHAT IS WRITTEN UP ABOVE! "Yes, but please remember that HANS prevents head from hitting steering wheel (it is made that way - saves your neck by keeping head still at the impact). i remember when schumacher broke senna's record's he was heartbroken to see mika hakkinen cry as well,i was there and i live with it every day of my life.
Good review of a difficult season. Would have liked to have seen a bit more from after the Hill and Schumacher incident at the end - there was a great fight between Mansell & Berger for several laps with overtaking before Mansell finally won through!
thanks for all the feedback! I would have made it longer and more footage as I couldn't include everything but I wanted to include the main parts and good action. I was limited as the song wasn't that long and I had to put it in time with the music.
I think that 1994 is the hardest season to make a tribute for. Mainly because of the serious contrast between the start, ie Senna's and Ratzenberger's death would say that it should be depressing music.
But the season was also exciting and an interesting battle between Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill, which would have music of a fast pace.
I think IcedBudweiser's choice in music is perhaps the best choice for this season. Slow at the start and fast at the end. A Brilliant tribute. ;-)
Nice dedication and great song. Top video of a truly unforgettable season of F1. Although there were no spectators killed at Imola. 8 fans and 1 policman were injured by a flying wheel at the start but none were seriously hurt.
