I only picked up the first two issues of Ultimatium, and I really disliked Ultimates 3, but I feel that with the return of Mark Millar in Ultimate Avengers that the title will make a come back. I read about some of the plot points that he will be adressing (in an issue of Wizard magazine) and it sounds totally boss!

Am I the only one that is not bothered by the way eter Parker looks like with the Spiderman custome on? Black Cat would of never flirted with someone that looks like that. It looks like he shrunked 3-5 inches since Ultimatum.

Ultimatum made me feel dirty. If I hear the new stuff is good, I'll get the trades maybe, but Loeb put the stupidly gory kibosh on all things Ultimate as far as i'm concerned.

i mean seriously, how many times do u see the blob, brutaly feasting on wasp, how many times do u see daredevil die like that, i knew spiderman didnt die in ulitmatum when i read it cos he's too much of a money bucket.

I really liked it cos i think, thats how a superhero fight would be in real life. with the blood and the guts spilling out and all, and its somethin u'll never see in the main marvel line

I'd recommend Blackest Night, then Blackest Night Batman. Green Lantern Corps can be read anywhere in there, it's most dealing with stuff between issues #1 and #2.

Ultimatum was bullshit. There was no build-up and everyone was out of character. Ultimates 3 was some of the worst trash I've ever read. Jeph Loeb has fallen IMO.

Thank God the Ultimate Universe has been (seemingly) saved.

You didn't like the old Ultimate series? ..1 and 2 were by Millar and I thought they were great, series 3 was by Loeb and granted it was a little hinky. However I do think Millar is a bit of an arrogant writer too at times, Wanted for instance, Jeez.

Both the Ultimate Comics titles this week rocked though, nice review guys.

No one liked Ultimatum. I was pretty much over the Ultimate U after Ultimatum. But now I'm back.

Ultimatum was terrible and pointless.

I'm serious if anyone can tell me why Jeph Loeb is still getting work, please tell me. Seriously Ultimates 3 was the worst comic series I have ever read in my life.

I wouldn't say Ultimatum accomplished 'nothing' - it helped establish Jeph Loeb could manage an imprint and - potentially - a comic book company at some point in the future. Joe Q started out managing the Marvel Knights line and put some real stinkers on the shelves (Angel Punisher, anyone?), but otherwise the line sold well and now Joe Q runs Marvel.

Ultimatum has done well financially and we could be looking at Loeb as new Marvel EiC a few years down the line.

You have to click around in the beginning, because just as you show Ultimate Comics Spider-man #1, it freezes and I have to skip and restart buffering. Not a huge deal.
