  • I want that I Adore My 64 shirt, because I do adore my 64.

  • i really hope his houase is insured well id hate to have that stuff disapear

  • Gotta finish up Earthbound its been sitting for months. Overrated but its alright

  • These guys don't even sound like they know anything about Retro Collecting...I've heard of Bubble Bobble: Part 2...I've heard of Snatcher before...what games are rare? like CAMMAN!!

  • @rgcoolm Paul and I used to work at Sierra Online in the 90s, so it was primarily classic PC gaming for us.

  • @MetalJesusRocks NOW THAT'S AWESOME! if anything you guys should do a tour of someone that has old computer systems like the old Tandy's or Commodor 64's and collection of old PC games like Kings Quest, Police Quest and the revolutionary Space Quest!

  • I bought Earthbound a few years ago for 80. It was totally worth it. One of the best SNES games ever.

  • whoa...those spaceship toy guns at the end of the video...ive seen those before..some 80s toy that i cant seem to recall what they are called.

  • earthbound should have seen more copies released... even now i wouldnt pay over 100 for it considering i could get several other great games for that cost

  • His room is amazing. I see he has the Intellivision Donkey Kong homebrew. I hope to get my copy of Candy Catcher soon. It's still available to purchase over at Atariage.

  • @IntellivisionDude - I've already confirmed with John that we will be going back to film more video after the new year, and now that I've really covered the Nintendo stuff, I want to get footage of some of the more unusual games... Should be fun! John has so much cool stuff I have yet to discover!

  • Lol I bought snatcher for like 2 bucks lol!

  • @michaelvaneckartiest - $2?!? Man, that's awesome! I love those kind of stories.

  • @MetalJesusRocks I always go to my local pawnshops, they sell the most awesome retro games for like 2 - 3 bucks! they never check the value of those games and even consoles! also keep up the video's they are really awesome!

  • Awesome. Just... awesome.

  • Nice collection you have there. You are brave allowing beers in your collection room! Hehe.

Also I think your Earthbound is worth more than you listed it at. I sold mine (CIB/mint) for $420.

  • @videogameobsession - There is a local retro shop here in Seattle that has 2 CIB copies of Earthbound selling them for $300 a piece, which is why I wrote that. But obviously when you get to games this sought after, price will vary greatly over time.

  • awesome videos dude. im getting a video camera soon and i was wondering if you have some advise

  • Nice looking setup, I'm proud to say that I sold you the Clayfighter Sculptor's Cut manual referenced at 11:45ish. I remember you needing that one forever! FYI to other collectors out there, I'd put Starcraft CIB around $70, Sculptor's Cut at $400+ and ISS 2000 around $100, despite the values listed (I have a full N64 set as well).

  • That collection is just sensational! Great interviews and it was a lot of fun to watch. I hope you do more road trips in the future.

  • Really cool stuff. That's awesome you got to meet John he seems like a cool guy to hang out with. I've got his dvd sets, great stuff

  • does he have cheetah men 2?

  • yes I do...sealed

  • There's a factory sealed copy of Bubble Bobble Part 2 on eBay right now! It's VGA graded 85+ A bargain at US $14,999.99!

  • Excellent hillbilly narrator impression. That collection is EPIC..... I don't know what else to say....

  • Comment removed

  • Sod the games, that beard is epic!

  • i bet he pays ALOT for insurance....i would if i had a room filled with goodies like he has.

  • Cant wait for part 3

  • Wow... beautiful collection. I'm in awe.

  • Sorry about the spellcheck chrono trigger

  • Metal Jesus I'm considering getting first chronology trigger to play but I don't know if it's any good I want to know if u played it or if you could reccomend any gba games for me

  • @pixiedemon1 - I played Chrono Trigger years ago and thought it was absolutely FANTASTIC. The time travelling story line is really neat and the combat system is a lot of fun. If you have the DS, I would pick up that version as it's excellent and only costs about $15 used.

  • @MetalJesusRocks thanks for replying and i think i will go pick it up tommorow and is there any other games you would reccomend me

  • MetalJesusRocks: Man, oh man, at 14:45, you never heard of Marauder?! It's originally a SIERRA game, released under the SierraVision logo in 1982, before it was re-released by TigerVision. Awesome video, but I'm surprised you didn't know that one.

  • @ruudje1976 - what?! Sierra? Wow! I had no idea. It's wild how many random arcade games Sierra published back in the 80s. Thanks for letting me know!

  • Oh man, I remember after part one of this video I could not wait for part two! It was worth the wait. That is the largest collection I've ever seen. Can't wait for part 3!

  • What an awesome video! Keep it up! Thanks!

  • Damn...John and Pete Dorr better watch out, there universes could collide!

  • NO SHAVE NOVEMBER. You rock John!

  • amazing collection!

  • Amazing video keep up the good work. Ps I always loved evil avatar ;)

  • Amazing collection! I can't wait to see more in Part 3!

  • Your videos are just getting better and better, man! Awesome. Can't wait to see your one(s) :D

  • holy shit!! That was awesome!

  • Great video guys, that guy has an awesome collection & also seems like a blast to hang out with too

  • John Hancock has an amazing collection of games. The amount of time spent playing all of them would take years. Still, can't wait for Part 3 (or 4 or 5).

  • Great video(s)! That collection was truly insane. I realize that you may not be producing another video for a few days, so if this is the case I wanted to wish MJ, Master Paul and your families a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Peace bro!

  • AAAAH its nice to see that adults can still be kids sometimes =)...be happy in your own way

  • good vid man, entertaining

  • Mind blowing collection. It's one thing to have a loose collection, all of that shit is boxed. He seems like a good guy too, he like Shatterhand, so at the very least you can say he has fantastic taste in games.

  • @swlovinist Thanks. At 37 I sure wish I held onto the stuff I had when I was younger. I'd have quite the collection. I don't trade my games in or sell them anymore. At least I'm teaching my kids the value of taking care of and holding on to their stuff. I admire your passion.

  • I love it, a complete copy of Hagane (US) is just sitting there on the table casually, one of the rarest SNES games but in this room it gets no comment

  • Mannnn.. Sega CD Snatcher! What a classic, and he owns the original version.

  • Does John have his own YouTube channel?

  • @vmfhavok

I do, but it is nothing compared to MetalJesusRocks LOL. I post obscure and unusual things from time to time, but have been busy lately getting a local videogame club off the ground. Thanks to all with the kind words.

  • Wow, I used to have a boxed copy of Chrono Trigger myself, and I also had to get rid of it due to financial reasons. :'(

    Gamer regret! Ugh!

  • Hancock seems like a hell of a guy.

  • That collection is insane!

  • Speaking of GB and GBA, there's a Canadian Tire in town has a small rack of video games and they still have probably a dozen or so still sealed GBA games, they were either 5 or $10 each. Nothing that I was interested in or that I thought might have any value (I think there was a Shrek game and a Powerpuff girls game). I'm sure if I put them on ebay they would sell just for being SS, but not my thing. More into collecting things I will keep and play.

  • Does he have any imports?

  • Once he showed the flinstones game I was like, Gamechasers hell yeah. Jay got totally screwed over on that shit.

  • Man, John needs to get more walls! lol

  • Ace!

  • Metal Jesus rocks, 'nuff said.

  • Shatterhand is one of my favourites on the NES. Nice to see it get some recognition.

  • Makes me wish I had kept all those games I had when I was a kid. Great vid

  • Pete Who??

  • You're awesome.

  • You guys have a knack for finding the rarest of beer names. Haha

  • Really cool of him to let yu show his collection dude, truely amazing, awesome vid :) Do you know what the plastic protective cases are called on american ebay for the super nintendo? I'd like to get some to protect my game boxes :)

  • haha i heard her laughing! great job dudes, that guys collection is insane in the membraine

  • this collection is awesome, but the video as well - good job =)

  • Holy crap large collection. At 2:23 is that Super Mario World on a Genesis cart?

  • john hancock is the guy who inspired me to really buckle down and collect video games every weekend. heard him on the all gen gamers podcast a year ago and met the guy in september at the retro gaming expo. i hope in twenty years my collection is just as big if not bigger than his. awesome video can't wait for pt.3!

  • "Drink well..Drink like a dick!" haha fucking hillarious.

  • barrel roll barrel roll :D

  • Paul looks like a blind mole

  • Such a great video!! :D I always watch your latest video whenever it gets uploaded!

  • WOw. really intriguing video :D I know what to look for now ;D

  • That gaming collection is exceptionally awesome!! Man alive, haha. Fantastic video! I'm sure it was difficult to even do the scale of the awesomeness contained inside that room justice. Another excellent video MJR! Peace!

  • You and Drunken Master Paul make a great team. It seems you two have a lot of fun together and it really comes out in your videos.

  • That has got to be the most impressive room full of retro video games I have seen so far :)

Keep up the great work MJ and DM!

  • look like you guys had a great time

  • This guy is my hero what a great collection, excellent video again.

  • all i have to say is wow....i dont think ive ever seen so many under 1 roof never mind all the rare stuff....u guys look like u had a blast...i really enjoy these vids :)

  • i couldnt stop laughing for the first 45 seconds of your video

  • @captainmcspanky - Thanks! I was going for a Dukes of Hazard meets Hee Haw vibe. My wife couldn't stop laughing when we recorded it! If you listen closely at the end of the video, you can actually hear her laughing in the background.

  • If I had known late release games (B&B 2) were going to be so expensive in the future I would have bought them sooner. Shatterhand, got to love I a guy who punches literally everything to win. Pocky & Rocky2, I'd setttle for P&R1. Earthbound is a rare game I want only I'll pay the price it was originally sold for but I won't starve for it. ^_^ The GBA Metroids are so awesome. MGS on GBC, great game I hope to get someday. "You will die." that is what I call Robotron 2048. Great video MJR. :)

  • @TheBladeJunker - I think the lesson from this video is to look at the PSP, Gamecube, original Xbox and PS2 library right now. What were the late releases for those systems and how many were made? Consider that 5~10 years from now, collectors will pay whatever it takes to get a copy of Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy for the PS2, and probably 100 people bought it.

  • @MetalJesusRocks Great idea I think I'll get Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy sooner than later so I'm not paying an arm and a leg later. RPGs are the ones that almost never shown up in thrift outlets but I'm surprised about that International Soccer game on N64 wow what a price. :O

  • @MetalJesusRocks That is true. Most late game releases in a console's life has a greater chance of becoming more rare and sought after, simply because people are shifting focus to the newer console(s) and game companies are less likely to produce/manufacture a lot of units.

  • great video. it's cool seeing what other people have!

  • LOL. I really wanted the acapella guitar intro again though.

  • @canceresbunny - The funny thing was we just did that spontaneously while stopped for some food. It's probably a sign I hang out with Drunken Master Paul too much! However, I have a feeling that intro may show up in future videos sooner than you may think! **wink**

  • @MetalJesusRocks You sir, are awesome.

  • i laughed as soon as i saw that flintstone lmao i still cant believe the game chasers got a copy(without case) for $5 lmao

  • @MisterWilsonTV - Yep, Billy & Jay got an amazing deal on that game. Such a great find!

  • Haha, "If it's terrible I wanna play it." Sounds like he likes to put himself through misery at times, haha. Anyways, sweet video!

  • @Frostbitten24 - That's the funny thing about John: he's not really obsessed with the ultra rare games like Stadium Events (NES) or Lochjaw (2600). Instead, most of his favorite games are actually really easy to find and reasonably priced, and often considered "terrible"!

  • The irony with these N64 games is that they were all at my local video store complete, but as a kid I couldn't afford them, and always asked for them. Clayfighter 63 1/2, Starcraft, Superstar Soccer 2k, maaaaaan.

  • Dick Danger Ale..

    Big spoon Little spoon..

    N'sync: Get to the show..

So many joke opportunities I don't know where to begin..

  • @xDIRTYSOUTHx - All I have to say is... wait until next week when I include Part 3 & Outtakes. We are very silly boys in Gaming Heaven!

  • I wish i had that earthbound. i dont have it. and i dont think it came out here
