Bleach is a good show, as is Kenshin. Leave it at that, guys. Everyone disagrees as to what anime they think is best or worst. I think Detective Conan is the best, but I have a fondness in my heart for RK and it has left its impact on my life in many ways. Bleach is not garbage, btw. It's just not as good as RK. Bleach has good characters and a nice plot in the beginning, but it becomes cliched later on.

I like both anime... I don't imagine either anime being real or realistic or whatever though I find it funny people find it realistic that someone could move with god like speed and cut cannon balls in half, or slice a man to a bajillion pieces in the time it takes to blink an eye. or freeze people by staring at them. I could go on. it's up to you to determine whether you like the type of humor in either BLEACH or Kenshin, neither is objectively better than the other.

You can't even imagine that any of that could have ever happened. But with Kenshin. You could. And not only does Rurouni Kenshin top Bleach in style. The dubbing was much better. And there's a lot more emotion and honest humor then Bleach. Bleach is just slapstick. You cannot imagine Bleach being real. But with Kenshin, you can.

The "new anime" is nothing more than two OVAs, telling the battle between Shishio and Kenshin from Misao's point of view. It's not a new series entirely, unfortunately. I'm starting to think we'll never get an animated Jinchuu arc, unless these OVAs somehow become very popular.
