Yawn. The usual my-favourite-guitarist-is-better-than-your-favourite-guitarist wars. Moore, Bonamassa, Ford - they're all great guitarists. Just listen & enjoy.
joe and gary are (well gary was) two great guitarists, but Ford is simply a too big name for them...who knows robben well, surely know what am I talking about
you guys are all making a big mistake..comparing moore and bonamassa is ok, they're both great blues/rock guitarists...but wtf how can you compare Robben Ford with them? Robben Ford is a musical genius and he has nothing to do with commercial blues/rock. He brought blues music 40 years forward with a great jazz background. He's got a great sense of harmony and he doesn't just play the ol' classical blues - all respect to it - which he anyways does great...
Never seen Ford live...have several of his live DVDs though...seen Joe B five times and he's a stud...much more rock than Robben or Gary Moore...so I don't really compare them as being in the same genre. Joe B has a lot more Zep and Cream in his repetoire..very little jazz. This is my fave Ford song...probably because it is about the hardest rockin' thing he does.
@stratcat07 I love both, and I think that robben is really better than joe, but i think that "boring" is appropriate for gary moore: extremely fast, extremely the same....
I love Robben on Ohne Filter

Pretty much teabreak time for the sax player...
And right here I'd like to say Chris Cain.

Brilliant, cool, jazzy, funky, endlessly inventive and always tasteful... a true master! Hope to see ya again live, Robben!

Bonamassa plays pentatonic licks that you get bored of very easy. Robben plays everything that will keep your ears happy!

He's a bit like Bonamassa, but with more heart and groove. And he has a tone that's pure gold.

Bonamassa's cool, but he'd be lucky to get half as good as Robben.
