i think that the wwe divas golden era dead when lita quit , it was good divas like mickie james melina michelle mccool beth phoenix but just 4 divas cant hold the golden age , and have the new divas with no experience , then in 2008 wwe start the lame managing the divas but the 4 divas that a say have the talent to be the new trish lita jakie , etc . but wwe doent give a shit to the divas now

That's right Shawn, the WWE came a long way--like the fact that Trish Stratus could not lace Bull's wrestling boots; yes and Trish could bark like a dog, and Jackie do gravy bowl matches, and no talent Sable win bikini contests and the title, and Torrie and Dawn Marie (and Torrie and Sable) do the lesbian of the week skit and great wrestlers like Molly Holly get pushed aside--and one of the best of her era, Lita, get crapped on in her last match--way to go, guys.

I dont see how Jazz continue to be left out of you guys list. When she came the Women division really started to pick up. She was more polished out of the bunch and carried Trish through all of mathces in 2001. Trish had to elevate her skills to meet that of Jazz, so did Lita back in the ECW days. Trish was the go to person, but no one at that time could have filled the spot of Jazz. The same with the psychotic Victoria. Gail Kim was a breath of fresh air. Nidia impressed too.

early 2000 - 2006ish.

divas were treated correctly, but having women dressed in lingerie, or any other clothing (that made them look slutty), was uncalled for.

we want divas who can wrestle, that have talent & look healthy!

we want divas like the old times!

WWE has a lot of great female wrestlers, but they don't get showcased like they used to. Their matches are short, and they get put into tag matches and battle royals and costume contests so often that no one notices them. They're "filler" and they deserve better.

i complete agree...this was when women's wrestling got pretty intense that i didn't care whether they were a face or heal it was all just so much fun to watch cuz every match became fantastic.

@999xander999 - There are a few, who are keeping it going. Eight of which, are on my list as 8 of the greatest women, to ever be in wrestling. They are Natalyah, Jillian Hall, Maryse, Michlle McCool, Gail Kim, Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, and Melina. Also Layla, Eve, Alicia Fox and Katie Lea are good.

In the sense that she is arrogant, confident, good in the ring, good on the mic, has a great gimmick and is beautiful. @LITAFUN I agree Lita was the best of her time; but Michaels is an asshole--that is not a newsflash--he disses the late great Monster Ripper who was put into that idiot Bertha Faye gig by Don VInnie and the greatest women wrestler ever to step into the WWE ring--Bull Nakano. By the way, Keiko Nakano was a pretty cute girl even with the "war make up on" and certainly out of it.
