@atomderp it was accually ben and Zoey, who wrote this song firdst, then introduced it with the postal service. i like it better with sam, but ben is amazing.
I don't understand how people are still getting this mixed up.. even after all these years!? Sam Beam and all his gloriousness.. in fact DID NOT write this song :) It was Ben Gibbard and all his gloriousness with the Postal Service :) They are both amazing musicians! But Ben wrote it first, and Sam covered it.. and I'm very glad Sam Beam did cover it.. because I like his cover more than the original :)
when he recorded his version of this song, the postal service hadnt released their original yet. which leads me to one of two conclusions, wither he ripped ben off, or he is friends with ben.
@BoNgWaTeRdEmOn Iron and Wine's version was released on the B-side of the Postal Service single of this song. They were both under the same recording label at the time.
Half of each line sounds like the original, the other half modified. The original part and modified part don't go well together. Every line ends up sounding off key. Good effort, but it doesn't work.
that's Zach Galifianakis man

funny...I just listed to covers of this version and they're actually better. They just fix this exact issue I mentioned.

Nope. This is a song by Seam Beam and I quote Ben in one of his solo shows "..this is a song by Sam Beam..(starts to play 'Such Great Heights')."
