In the beginning there was "TOMMY STEELE"! UK's only Rock n Roll singer for a while. Not long but he was first. I was there and my parents wouldn't let me listen to him because he was a bad influence and Rock n Roll was the devils music according to the newspapers! They still print a lot of rubbish now but I don't but them anymore.

From the looks of this clip, the talented Mr Steele was quite the rage in the UK at the time. A bobbysoxer's dreamboat! I was only familiar with him from his appearance in American movies like "The Happiest Millionaire" and "Finian's Rainbow'. I hope that he is well & happy these days. Thanks for posting this! :)
