What did you use to record the sound directly from the drums?

i just fed a 1/4" mono output on the drums down to a 1/8" line in on my pc. using good ol Microsoft Movie Maker, i used the audio in in conjuction with my webcam. the sound quality ends up being pretty not great...but its so much easier than recording to the 8-track then syncing the vid.
