Oh, I'm sure you don't really *freak out*... but it's just like that, our mind begins to fantasize about scary things!

When I was a child I was so curious about ghosts stories: but, then, I was scared of dark! ^_^;;

That's why I think that to face that dark and to demonstrate to our mind the concrete absence of dangers (apart from the possibility to hit a furniture item ;D) is the best way to face it!
