Rangers are underestimated. Most people do not realize just how tough they really are, but I got to say that had to be really hard on you engine, clutch, transmission etc. Ive had mine for almost 11 years now and Ive done things to it that I shouldn't have but it always survives. Is ashamed 2011 is the last year they will be made.

@thehuntman47 I had that problem. Had a 10,000lb. winch mounted up front on my fabricated tow package on my 1988 S10 pickup, but nothing on the back. When I got stuck in a mud pit, I could only pull myself DEEPER through the pit til I got out, lol. Major downside to having JUST a front winch

well since he doesnt have lockers one wheel on each axle is basically like an ancor, holding his truck back. he is almost flooring it for long periods of time, and that is alot of wear on the engine. i have a 87 ford ranger and i blew the 2.9 v6 because i floored if in first for about 10 seconds...the bottom line is that if he had lockers he would have been out of that hole in 1/10 of the time.
