Oh please, don't even start. Blizzard did not INVENT this style of gameplay. It's been around for AGES! If anything it's more reminicent of Baldur's Gate, which came out years before WoW.

they dont mention anything at all about character stats. The Baldurs Gate games ae legendary because of story telling and because it used Dungeons & Dragons rules. I wonder how much of a succesor will it really be...

I agree, I have some doubts even if it does look promising. I've played D&D CRPGs with 2nd and 3rd edition rules, so things like seeing characters regenerate quickly in this game and hearing the demonstrator use terms like "warrior" and "mage" sounds a bit odd to me. I guess we'll just have to see how much it will stick to the tradition

i hope chracters dont regenerate automaticaly like some arcade game. Im a very harcore Baldurs Gate / Icewindale fan. I just started playing The Temple of Elemental Evil last week, which i think is a kick ass game even though its a little old. Im really hoping Dragon AGe will play like these games. Im also looking forward to seeing a Baldurs GAte 3 someday...

Are you playing the difficult fanpatch or only the patch with no extra content?

I haven't played it yet, since I still have a lot of IWD to play (started chapter six of official campaign) and I haven't even touched my copy of IWD2 yet. Is it correct that there aren't that many character and spell levels in that game, like only 10 and 5?

The main flaw of this game that can be seen through the demo is that it has this slight feel of having been simplified. Just a personal opinion though

after 3 hours I was able to get the Circles of Eight mod to work. It addresses all the bugs and adds extra content. The modders truly did a great job. Like I said, Im a huge Baldurs fan, but after playing Temple with the Co8 mod Im now leaning towards Temple. Its a step ahead with sharper graphics and gameplay. I cnt believe I missed this game till now. Its hardcore and faithful D&D ... Get it off Amazon for $10 new. Contact me if you have any issues getting it to run. Im an expert now!

hmmm, when will we see a game with a real war atmosphere with hundreds of units? (not like dynasty warriors though thats stupid.) i hope in like 5 years time.

but this game seems to up the NWN2 type genre quite a bit. nice to know that games are getting better
