While living in Whyalla (Jan 1974-July 1982), my parents and me went on the Pichi Richi tourist train twice between 1976 and 1979. It was a kind of compenstation for leaving Melbourne where I went on the Puffing Billy a few times from Mar 1970 to Jan 1974. Reason #1 of the name that I use here is a celebration ot those days I spent in Melbourne (Mar 1970 - Jan 1974).

Hey, that first footage with NM25? Where was it taken - between Stirling North and Saltia? Nice view hey. One day I gotta find a time and head to Quorn - still havent taken a ride behind the NM class yet. Have seen her chugging by. Beautiful piece of machine....
