I hope the new generations cherish what is being built for them as we did ours. Maybe building a new school will help re grow Brightmoor. I think it would be awesome if they could turn it into a gated community with affordable housing. All 3 of the homes I lived in while living in Brightmoor are still standing and are occupied. That makes me feel good : ) But I have to admit...I cried when the big slab of roofing came down : (
Are there any more videos that anyone knows of? This is heartbreaking to watch, but at least I feel like I'm there with an old friend as she passes away. Bob Besch on facebook has some great pics, too. If there are any more video's I'd love to see them! And if anyone can go take more vids, please, please do!
Sad to see the destruction of what was an important part of my past. My whole family attended school there, even my father. I met my wife while attending Harding. I made many friends there. Piece by piece, little bits of my past are disappearing. I am sad and will miss driving past that place.
