  • I SOOooo love the 3.3, but I have to say this, and it pains me to do so. You can get that sorta power from a stock sti 2.5 just with an aggressive ecu reflash. And the engine is not as heavy, nor does the 2.5 have the extra weight that far in front of your front suspension as the 3.3 upsetting the weight balance of the car. Im sorry man, but a 2.5l swap would have been more worth while. :(

  • @pegalis I would think the 2.5 wouldn't have as wide of a powerband though, being smaller and turbo. But I def agree for those power levels I'd stick with a 2.0 or 2.5

  • @pegalis he doesn't have to wait for a turbo to spool though. pure NA subaru power. like a 350 big block - the subaru variety

  • Ok this is interesting. Is that the 6 out of the new forester or the old 6 out of the svx? We have lots of modded wrx's here (Australia) but no one touches the 6's. I want a GC8 but dont want turbos, nothing against them but Ive been there (Nissan's) and prefer the sound of N/A 6's. How modified of this motor? Sorry for all the questions.
