well, bellsprout IS a really nice catcher pokemon since wrap is weak, and it gets sleep powder... plus eventually it gets razor leaf wich is a great grass move. til then it gets all 3 powder moves too ...

@Clarestovold The rival's default name might as well be Silver. Also, Gary is Green, and the female character on Leaf-Green is Leaf, or Blue. In the original pokémon manga, Green is Blue and vice-versa, proven by HGSS, in Gary's old house in Pallet Town. His room is complately green, while Red's room is red. Lastly, at each gym, the borders around the gyms are a certain color depicting their type. In Viridian city, the borders of his gym are blue/green, to state the confusion.

Silver is way better because he doesn't openly try to screw you over, at least not in GSC. Gary openly chooses to type that beats yours and then immediately challenges you to a battle to wipe you out early. Silver, not having seen which pokémon you got, just happens to steal the one that beats yours, and only challenges you because you didn't move out of his way.

@spiritomb108 I thought in the American version of the game, his name was Blue Oak and in the Japanese version, he was Green Okido. But I thought he was better known as Blue? Anyway, okay; I happen to love Blue/Green/Gary's character more BECAUSE he tries to screw you over :D I like that he's big-headed and egotistical and I like his character design a lot more. Chugga isn't the only one in who mistook Silver for a girl.. I genuinely believed the rival in Crystal was a girl for a while XD
