Very highly polished but inaccurate video you need to start again as you are misinforming people with regards to how the product tech works ...sorry..... close but no cigar....you are getting a dislike from me....
The way the noise canceling works was very poorly explained and illustrated in this video. It could have been explained with more clarity by saying the outer microphones pick up noise at "x" dB and play it back inside the headphones at "-x" dB. To illustrate this, you could have drawn an arch (representing a sound wave picked up by the microphones), then drawn a mirrored arch underneath it (the sound wave played back). Just saying, the picture was confusing.
@ODYSSEUSXYZ Please accept my apologies for the delayed response. The Quiet Comfort 15s are manufactured in China. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield
I tried these on at a local Bestbuy. They were pretty cool! I wish I had these, it'll help drown every other noise out and just focus on the song(or whatever you're listening too)
Btw. They played a song on the headphones, I'm trying to find it on YouTube xD
i tryed this on my nearby shop and i have to say: im impressed! stood there laughing because i coldnt hear anything around me! it was so noisy outside but when i put this on i diddnt hear anything!!!! run and buy!
I wonder if they have a 5.1 Surround sound bose headphones. That would be great! I currently own a companion 5 speakers and they are fantastic. hoping they can sound just like them.
@LSXSansebasmx We certainly feel these headphones are among the very best in the $300 price range. Paying nearly twice that overseas would certainly be a difficult decision. While we do not ship to foreign addresses, we can deliver to U.S. APO Zip Codes. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield
@Spike20102 Depends on which Tritton box you are referring to. If you want to use it with the 5.1 surround decoder, they wouldn’t work very well as the Bose headphones do not support multi-channel (5.1) audio sources, just stereo (two-channel). Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield
Decent earphones, but still connected to a wire in a bluetooth age. And way overpriced for wire connected technology. Can't they make a bluetooth version?
How do these headphones sound with movies? Have you ever tried? And what movies do you like? Me? I like tons including: "Batman Begins" "Avatar" "Salt" "Transformers" "The Dark Knight" "Saving Private Ryan" "Inception" "Black Swan" "The King's Speech" "Titanic" (1997) "The Matrix" "King Kong" (2005) etc.
i have normal ears but the beats by dre and other headphones like it still press up agenst my ear but not with these i feel like im not even wearing anything.
Those are the kinds of really noisy environments for which these headphones were designed. Buy them, try them, and you'll have 60 days to make sure they are up to snuff.
@CanadianDH its so funny that you would never think that a song could sound so better with this headset... ive been using ipod stock headphones until now and first time i used this too i was speachless
These are wonderful sounding headphones for any type of music. They don't overdo the bass, or under-do it. Just right. If you don't necessarily need the noise canceling, and you want more bass (like the kind that will make your head vibrate) you might consider some Beats by Dr. Dre.
Hope that helps, you can see more info, and read customer reviews on these headphones at the Crutchfield Website.
THe QC2 headphones I own cancel engine noise in the cabin when flying, but rolling your head to the side and allowing it to touch the headrest or pillow allows a VERY load lower freq roar to enter the picture. I called Bose, but they were unaware of this issue. Have you tested this on a flight?
I haven't experienced this, but i got this email from one of our folks, Julie, in Creative:
– I used the QC2s for years, and occasionally got some interference when I did that, but nothing loud – and I’m wearing the QC3s and they do nothing of the sort. If I actually seal off the outer mic with my hand, then I can make them do a high-pitched squeal like mics do sometimes, but still not what Goodloe9051 is describing.
@Goodloe9051 for electronic, techno and that stuffs I recommend you beats by dr dre but if you want a super clear music with noise cancelling then the bose are for you, but it depends
If you are looking to buy these headphones, I SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND THEM. The noise canceling by themselves are great and if you add music, they are phenomenal. They are worth every cent.
im thinking about buying one. is there a new one coming out dont wanna get one and when a new ones about to come out roughly a year maybe? like an upgrade or a quietcomfort 15 etc? and also with the noice cancelling off does it still play music?
I can't promise there isn't something new just around the corner, you'd have to ask Bose that specific question.
It is common for manufacturers to make a new model of something, sometimes once a year, I've even seen it happen more than once a year. That doesn't make last year's model no good anymore, it's just not the latest and greatest. The first generation Quiet Comfort headphones are still awesome several years (and new models) later.
@crazyman10100101, if the noise cancelling is off on these headphones, it is either because they are not switched on, or the battery has run out. No power, no music, simple as that. So, you cannot just use them as "normal" headphones.
If in any case the microphones do get affected by loud noises.. will this be covered in the waranty? Speaking after the 30 or 60 days in which yuo can return them of course. :D
I just read through the owner's manual and warranty card provided with the Bose QuietComfort 15 Noise Cancelling Headphones. i did not see any specific stipulation that would apply. Of course there's an exception the warranty for "improper or unreasonable use."
I would suggest you contact Bose to get the definitive answer to your question.
You are right, that the 60 day money back guarantee would cover you for the first two months.
First of all, I apologize for not responding to your comment right away. I must have missed it when you posted, sorry.
As for your question, I can't speak for Bose, and whether or not they would cover that under warranty since it's not clearly stated in their warranty card. Your best bet is to call Bose directly and ask them, their number is 800-999-2673.
Hello crutchfield, I play drums and I was just wondering, btw I already bought a pair of these and they are absolutely phonomenal, i was wondering If my drums will affect/ ruin the microphones that pick up sound for the noise canceling. Please reply!
Great question, I also play drums. The Bose QuietComfort 15 Noise Cancelling Headphones were designed to cancel out constant noise, like airplane engines, loud chitter chatter, etc.
They will still reduce the loudness of the external drum noise, but not as completely as they will constant sound.
We don't know if the drum sounds would damage the mics in the headphones or not. You'll have 60 days to find out if you buy them from Crutchfield.
Great news, yes you can put the headphones on, turn on the noise canceling, and enjoy the silence, even with no musical source connected to it.
And they are very good at what they do. They are so good, they are on CrutchfieldSignature which gets you fast free shipping, lifetime tech support and a 60 day guarantee.
