The smoke generators are supplied by Peter Clarke Models. He advertises in the guild. He imports them from the US. The good thing about them is that they have a fan connected to them which blows the smoke out as though the blower is on. Very complicated to get right with DCC but worth it.
The smoke units come from the US. They are primarily designed for diesels but when being used with DCC they can be controlled effectively in a steam loco. The key to the success of them is the fan that is in the unit that blows the smoke out rather than those where the smoke just dribbles out. It is not easy to fit or program but the result is worth it
Thank you for your comment. The layout is 40ft by 20ft and is a scale 1/3 mile of Evercreech New on the Northern section of the S & D. I open it very occasionally to raise money for our village church and this year it is on the 16/17 April so if you are in the area of BA22 7LZ please come and see us.
One of the most realistic video compilations of a model railway that I have ever seen. The pass through the station at approx 1:20 is absolutely mind blowing.
This is a truly magnificent layout. I'm no expert in model railways but, the modelling and detailing is just beautifully observed and realised. And the crowning glory - the look of the steam blowing from the Standard 4's chimney is remarkably realistic. If it was mine I would be "lost" for days with it. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing it.
Amazing!!!!

Very impressive. Is that a fairly recent model where you put special liquid in the funnel and it smokes.
