2)Dort sind wir so versackt wie nie mehr danach! Doch, eine Woche später mit den Rattles. Mit denen haben wir die gleiche Tour nochmal gemacht. Achim Reichel machte im NCO-Club sogar noch Musik mit der dort aufspielenden Soul-Band. Die Musiker der Bands waren alles nette Leute, nur haben die alle gesoffen...? Ulli, Reichel und Dostal sind und waren tolle Typen. Einige Wochen später sah ich noch eine Band live und die war musikal. die Beste der drei deutschen Beatbands: The Petards aus Hessen!

1)Es gab in meiner Stadt zu dieser Zeit etwa 30 (!) Beatbands (einige sogar mit SELMER Amps!). In einer dieser Bands spielte ich Schlagzeug.(Immerhin ein LUDWIG) Und es gab einen Club, hauptsächlich für Amerikaner, den ich nur 2x in meinem Leben (und unfallfrei) betreten habe. Und zwar an zwei aufeinander folgenden Wochenenden. Am ersten Wochenende spielten die Lords, eine Woche später die Rattles! Die Lords spielten 4 Stunden bis Mitternacht. Danach gingen wir mit den Herren in einen NCO-Club.

Da mein Vater seit seiner Jugend Lords-Fan ist, begleitet mich diese Musik und insbesondere dieser Titel seit meiner Kindheit. Inzwischen bin ich 34 und höre die Lords immer wieder gerne. Mitte/Ende der 80'er haben die Lords mal bei uns in der Stadt gespielt. Nach dem Gig waren u.a. meine Eltern noch mit den Lords auf Piste. Meine Mutter wollte mit Bernd Zamulo tanzen, aber er hat gesagt er kann nicht tanzen - er kann nur Bass spielen. ;-)

(Teil 1) Ich bin vor ein paar Tagen in einem meiner Umzugskartons auf eine Notiz aus den Achtzigern gestossen. Hintergrund: ich war auf einem Open Air-Konzert der Lords, das mit Lord Uliis Geburtstag zusammenfiel. Obwohl ich nicht glaubte, damit durchzukommen, sagte ich dem Tuersteher (oder vielmehr Zelteingangssteher) dass ich von einer Schuelerzeitung waere und die Lords interviewen wollte. Tatsaechlich wurde ich reingelassen und von den Lords wie ein alter Kumpel begruesst.

(Teil 2) Nachdem ich ein paar flache Antworten auf ein paar flache Fragen bekommen hatte, wurde "Happy Birthday" gesungen, und Ulli sagte: "Also Freunde, vielen Dank fuer diese Scheisse", worauf Jupp erwiderte: "Im Krankenhaus haben sie gesagt, wenn er weiter so spricht, ist die Stimme bald ganz im Arsch."

Anschliessend fand das stimmungsvollste Besaeufnis statt, das ich je erlebt habe.

The Lords are a german group from Berlin. They had about a dozen hits all sung in english in the german charts from 1965 to 1969.

They are still performing (50 years anniversary this year). Unfortunately the lead singer died in 1999.

jeden samstag war beatclub im tv angesagt. ich habe a l l e gesehen. an poor boy kann ich mich gut erinnern. dile 60 iger waren die geilsten zeiten mit der geilsten musik. einfach, 5 akkorde, 4 instrumente, ab und zu ein falscher ton, live und hautnah an den musikern. wo kriegst du so etwas heute noch geboten??
