  • lol Glad to see Im not the only one that thought Steve made a good cat name. I get teased about it all the time. I own parrots (yes I know this is a raven) and my cats are terrified of them. The birds do the chasing and the biting. I think it funny to see how animals of different species can get along and yet humans cant.

  • Do ravens poop everywhere like other species of bird? I've been thinking it would be amazing to have a pet raven, but that would kind of ruin it. By the way, I'm not actually going to buy a pet raven, I just think it would be cool.

  • Corvids are awesome.

  • Ravens (and by extension, crows) are such trolls. It's hard to hate them when they're so hilarious at what they do, though!

  • gross having all those animals in youre house

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! is kitty from the southern California area? My Velvet could be Steve's sister!

  • god damn. i would never have a crow. i think ravens are very beatififul too look at actually one of my favorites but its gonna annoy me to gin point. hahhaha

  • Messy house with bird shit everywhere, clean yourself up bitch!

  • Did you actually name this raven edgar? thats pretty cool^^

  • Doesn't he hit the windows? :0

  • dont the bird shit all over the house?

  • Joe Flacco was in my house with a normal panther as it was sexy Italian man feces on a roof of the under like a sunny weather as Mr. Townsend was making his presence in his house with his big body as Joe Flacco's head looked like a sock as he didn't belong inside.

  • That Raven is huge.

  • Are Ravens usually this big?

  • Ravens and other Corvus birds are smarter than primates. their brain mass to body mass ratio is greater than primates. the Corvus genus adapt quicker and learn faster than any primate.

  • If the Raven really wanted to, he could completely decimate that pussy.

  • Нахера выкладывать всё, что снимаешь?

  • love the birds xing sign lol, dont know how you stand all that cawing in the house though

  • crows/ravens and cats - spartest people on earth :D

  • @Checkingokop I thought Spartans were the spartest...

  • @VolkOseba lol you caught my typo, i dont how i managed to type that

  • Are you a breeder?

  • Nevermore..

  • I had two pet crows! It was the most awesome experience in my life! I loved my crows and would do it again if I could. They are tottally amazing!

  • @nasale56 HEY!! I corrected that spelling!! I rewrote TOTALLY! humph! pmo!!!

  • I had a pet crow and every time I went to feed him I clucked like a chicken. heheh When he was board he used to cluck exactly like a chicken too. it was so funny.

  • @lewandlo Wow! Mine did the same thing!!! I thought I taught him to do it! I guess he taught me! :-)

  • I wish I had a raven pet! yours is so cool

  • Let's get this straight, Crows and Ravens are extremely close related(in the same genus), but they are still different birds. This is obviously a raven.

  • Cats can fly too.

  • @TheHandsomeCrab Exactly!

  • @TheHandsomeCrab - HaHaHaHaHa.

  • @TheHandsomeCrab ~ and you, sir, should learn to spell: video

  • @euromerc It should be, "and you, sir, should learn HOW to spell 'video'"

  • @TheHandsomeCrab WTFFFFFFFFFFFF!, WHAT IS WITH YOU PEOPLE!.

  • @TheHandsomeCrab Yes because crows are larger than cats and have a head and beak that look JUST like that.... they're feathers are even different if you know what your looking for

I love it when people comment and have no idea what they're talking about

  • @TheHandsomeCrab Ravens caw as well.

  • @TheHandsomeCrab That is seriously the most amazing spelling of "video" I have ever seen in my life.

I might have to start using that instead now...

    Vedieo...

  • @TheHandsomeCrab wasnt that GIANT beak a dead giveaway that it's a Raven?

  • raven: come on :D i wanna stroke u :D

cat: PFTTT ill catch you later

  • its a raven, as theyre much bigger in size than crows.

  • It's bigger than the cat!

  • it's a beautiful, black bird, okay? Now STFU.

  • .... crows have straight beaks. its a fucking raven. shut the fuck up and learn something.

  • 0:30 OWNED!

  • this is not funny :S

  • It's clearly a crow.

  • @MrRazorblade999 - O.K., Mr. take your Razorblade to yourself, what do YOU know about crows and ravens? I rescue crows and ravens, and have been doing so since 2004, so don't make a fool of yourself.

  • @euromerc It's a crow and a black panther.

  • @euromerc

Crow's head, crow's voice. I was convinced before reading the comments.

  • @euromerc how do you get the birds to not shit all over the place? Can you train them to go in a litter box?

  • @undeadpresident ~ They DO crap all over the place! You just have to clean it up :)

  • @euromerc Just wait till they crap between the pillows of your sofa.

  • @PuppyXz - been there; done that.

  • @euromerc You should learn how to use a toilet then, sir.

  • @PuppyXz - they crap on your head when you go in to clean the aviary! They're animals.

  • @euromerc raise one of them up in the arts of warfare so that one day the inequities between man and beast may be thoroughly avenged.

  • @MrRazorblade999

    It's a RAVEN...r-a-v-e-n.....look at the size of the thing......and it's beak.

  • @AceofDlamonds Then it must be a big crow.

  • @MrRazorblade999

Crows don't have beaks like that......the morphology is totally different. Maybe a record breaking deformed crow lol

  • @MrRazorblade999

Nope it's clearly a Raven! One of several distinguishing characteristics between

these two birds is that Ravens have much larger bills. This bird clearly has a larger bill. Ravens are larger in size and weight. They have a softer "caw" than Crows and they stay still when calling out. Crows bob up and down when calling out and are louder. Ravens have distinct neck hackles and their tail is spear shaped. Crows have no neck hackles and their tail is triangular.

  • @MrRazorblade999

you sir must not know the difference between the appearance of a crow and a raven

  • @thekcor Yes I do. It's a crow.

  • @MrRazorblade999 your clearly an idiot.

  • @gottaluvbirds You are obviously very young and ignorant.

  • @MrRazorblade999 im 11 years old so yes im young, but youre the ignorant one who thinks he know everything about ravens when you obviously wouldnt know s***, go learn your abc's moron!

  • @gottaluvbirds It's a crow, not raven.

  • @MrRazorblade999 okay, tell me exactly how its a crow, it has a large curved beak (like a raven), its bigger than a cat (like a raven), you can see the neck feather things (like a raven), its tail feathers point inwards (like a raven), its call is very soft (like a raven); i dont think i need to say anything else, stop making yourself look retarded because you couldnt be more and stop thinking about how perfectly craptastic you are when you call everyone ignorant! whos ignorant?

  • @gottaluvbirds You are

  • @MrRazorblade999 im sorry but you ignored (the whole meaning of ignorant) every reply saying that you are a little full of yourself pompous prick, i swear i cant believe some people are a retarded as you! jesus christ bro piss off and grow up!

  • @gottaluvbirds At last you realise it is a crow.

  • @MrRazorblade999 you arent worth my time, i dare you to google it, stop being a little princess piece of shit and step into the real world where your not always right. i can tell you wouldnt know 2 sh**s about birds you little prick so get lost

  • @gottaluvbirds At least I know a crow when I see one.

  • @MrRazorblade999 Ummmm, it's a raven NOT a crow, ravens are bulkier and generally everything on them is bigger. Crows on the other hand are smaller and sleaker and their beaks are smaller. Look this shi* up on wikipedia, because it does'nt look like you understand people telling the truth

  • @ayinouss Wikipedia is a joke. It's a crow alright.

  • @MrRazorblade999 wow, i cant believe you, how ignorant can you get huh?. face the facts already you stupid troll. People like you should not even be alive to put it bluntly.

  • @ayinouss Stop it you're making a fool of yourself. Just accept the fact it is a crow. I know these things better than you.

  • @MrRazorblade999

Crows are Ravens and Ravens are Crows.

    Just so you know.

  • @o4heavensake You're trolling methinks.

  • 0:30

    Cat: "WTF!? SORCERY!!"

  • its a crow ...

  • @ProtonHazard ~ OMG, another ignoramus.

  • @ProtonHazard You can tell it's a raven by the pouch like feathers on the neck below it's beak, and the size.

  • :)

  • THATS A CROW NOT A RAVEN just saying :) but crow's are cool too :)

  • @monopolimona ~ please don't make me call you ignorant.

  • @monopolimona Ravens are part of the crow family, what made you think ravens were not crows?.

  • @djspl51bw ~ they are of the same genus, but they are two different birds. Ravens are twice the size as crows; I should know: I rescue both.

  • @euromerc

Thank you for your rescue work

  • @Rubystars1000 ~ My pleasure :)

  • @djspl51bw no, crows and ravens are part of the CORVUS family along with corvids, ravens are not crows but corvus. It's like saying a lion is not a tiger because they are in the feline family

  • @rols574 sorry i meant "it's like saying a lion IS a tiger because they are in the feline family"

  • @monopolimona That is 100% a raven, google the differences.

  • never more

  • You have a pet Raven? That is Really Cool! :)

  • edgar is beautiful

steve also looks incredibly cute :3

  • at 0:013 the cat is just like "i hate this guy =.="

  • @Persona460 0:13* :s

  • Do you have to have a special permit to have a raven? I'm interested.

    It's a very cool animal.

  • @DualMonocle~ It is not legal to have a corvid as a pet in the United States as they are migratory birds and protected. You can have one as a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, or are working under a licensed rehabber. I don't consider them pets; they are rescues :)

You can obtain a hybrid Raven from Corvid Ranch (Google them).

  • the cat looks funny.

  • I'd be afraid that beak would bite my fingers off :/

  • @TheOn3LeftBehind ~ No, but you could get pecked pretty hard.

  • Dog < Cat < Raven

    I

  • do they bite much?

  • @TheSpiralHill ~ Not really. They're used to me and trust me.

  • @euromerc My crow bites me hard only if I piss her off or something, or if I touch her legs (that's a no-no). Otherwise it pecks really gentle, just to play around or to see if I have something to eat on my fingers. Wonder if he/she is doing the same. Cool bird by the way.

Have you given it any beer or alcohol?

  • @Raptorel ~ NO beer or alcohol! Crows are just mischievious.

  • @euromerc Mischi...what? Why not?

  • How much do you enjoy having a raven as a pet? I'm interested in either a crow or a raven and I just want to get as much feedback as possible.

  • @treyweeeee ~ Ravens are very smart and good company if you raise them from a chick. You must never think of them as pets; they are friends. I purchased Edgar from Corvid Ranch in Alabama. He is a dream :)

  • how to you get a pet raven?!?!? mum says if we ever got one it would die from being inside, and their 2 wild 2 keep so someone please explain how you can get a raven for a pet!!!!

  • @Gypsygirl2113 ~ Where to obtain Corvids

You must never take them from a nest. In the U.S. we are not allowed to have the native crows and ravens unless supervised by licensed wildlife rehabilitators or veterinarians. You can volunteer with Wildlife rescue and get experience with ravens, or volunteer with a local veterinarian. You can legally obtain a hybrid African Raven (which Edgar is) from Corvid Ranch in Alabama.

  • Get any sleep at night !?

  • @BlaccBoii ~ At night I get sleep; it's 5:30 in the morning that's hard to take :)

  • @euromerc

that beak can tear a chunk of flesh down to the bone...

sor be careful and give it beers when its asking for it lol

  • I guess you'll never have to worry about dropping any food and not having it get picked up. Crows are so smart. When I was working in Australia they would gather about ten minutes before the roach coach would arrive waiting for us to sit down and eat.

  • Oh my, aren't you afraid he'll beak the cat or something? lol I don't know the technically term for stabbing things with your beak so forgive me :p

  • @JaCalsGal ~ they are mutually respectful of each others attack modes.

  • @JaCalsGal Peck?

  • @Ozarkeree lol that's the word I was looking for! It slipped my mind at the time haha thanks :)

  • cat instinct fail.

  • He's got hax

  • wow how do you get all those nice birds? are they pets of you?

  • @HeliLuuk ~ they are rescues.

  • lolz

  • They're really smart birds.

  • Aww, they're playing! <3

  • Look at that beak.

  • Hey if it scurries across the ground, she's got to attack it. It's what she's evolved to do.

  • @DeafFret ~ Actually, Steve is afraid of the ravens, because one of them chases him!

  • Sorry for this stupid question; but since you let Edgar fly around in the house, does he drop 'bombs' a lot? I mean really, how does the hygiene part work?

  • @whygothic ~ Oh, yeah, he poops.

  • crows and ravens seem like cool pets but i bet that crowing would get very very annoying

  • @Spring1234777 ~ you get used to it :)

  • @Spring1234777 You'd hate my house then. I'm owned by a Moluccan Cockatoo, Quaker Parrot, & IRN...And let me tell you, Raven's are loud, but i'd surely wager a safe bet, that a Moluccan is a helluva lot louder....!!!

  • smarty pants

  • lol.

  • Actually folks, i've talked with Euromerc before. And she know's exactly what she's doing by helping these beautiful birds. I've been in the avian field for nearly 25yrs now, and have a GREAT affinity towards the "Corvid species" of birds. Trust me, when i say, the cat has a bit more to fear than the Raven. Pound for pound, Crow's & Raven's beaks are among the strongest of the bird world. There lack of talons, like Hawks & Eagles possess is quite minor, when killing prey such as a mouse etc...

  • That is funny! You're lucky to have an animal like that in your presence.

  • that´s not funny at all! if the cat shows this behavior against that bird, then NO MORE living together at the same place. soner or later, she gets the bird and then?

  • @Nudelsalatbomber , Steve actually plays with the crows/ravens. watch "Macaroni & Steve". They like to tease him and pull his tail :)

  • @Nudelsalatbomber

    the world caves in?

  • @thehumanbirdie, woher soll ich das Wissen?

  • @Nudelsalatbomber Looks like the same behavior my cat has towards me.

I guess if you find me dead one day, you'll know the cat did it.

  • @A32Limited, + check out for a magpie-video on youtube. an old lady hat one with 6 or more cats. after a while, NO MORE magpie-videos. what do you think happened?

  • @Nudelsalatbomber the old lady died from old age?

  • @cicisway, nope. she is very much alive, and my beep got blocked for confronting her with an uncomfortable question.
