alright everybody, lets just cool it. Canada beat the US by one goal, and it took them extra time to do it. Not to mention they were up and blew the lead. Canada won yes, but it was a close game that was decided in OT. Thats nothing to rest your laurels on. If the US really sucked the game would've been over by the end of the 1st period.

I think you neglect to realize that most great hockey players are either Canadian, Swedish or Russian. In fact, look at Wikipedia's list of the 100 greatest NHL hockey players. Only 10 aren't Canadian and of those 10, only 3 are American.

Hence why the U.S. often now beats Canada at U-17, U-18, World Juniors, Olympics, etc. Also, there are more and more Americans in the NHL every season. Like it or not, the U.S. is here to stay as an elite hockey power in the world.

Canada won yes, but it was a close game that was decided in OT. Thats nothing to rest your laurels on. If the US really sucked the game would've been over by the end of the 1st period.

I think you neglect to realize that most great hockey players are either Canadian, Swedish or Russian. In fact, look at Wikipedia's list of the 100 greatest NHL hockey players. Only 10 aren't Canadian and of those 10, only 3 are American.

Hence why the U.S. often now beats Canada at U-17, U-18, World Juniors, Olympics, etc. Also, there are more and more Americans in the NHL every season. Like it or not, the U.S. is here to stay as an elite hockey power in the world.

USA is better then canada! Canada should be embarrassed! usa had to round up the only 15 players in the nhl and make them a team, where canada got to handpick their allstars. USA beat them once and canada got lucky and squeaked by them the 2nd. 1st goal- a unforced turnover on USA, 2nd goal-puck getting a perfect deflection on someones leg and landing right into the slot, 3rd goal- hitting the refs skate to set up the give and go. Team USA is better. They beat canada 9-10 times
