it was what we were lookin forward too the week we were up there..an then we are walking back to wait until we heard them play free bird from our condo..an we saw it like breakin out in the room..cuz it was on the 3rd floor i believe..we have some videos..we'll put em up as a response to this video

my family has a place @ the yacht club vista right next to this place..and me an my brother were first responders to that fire..cuz we were gonna walk around before to here free bird..an then we saw the fire break out an like no one was around

i was there for zz top and skynyrd. they were amazing!! i love classic rock. (i'm 14 too) i wish i'd witnessed ronnie van zant =(. his younger brother johnny sounds a lot like him though. i actually missed the fire to be honest. i was to sucked into the show to notice. i doubt anyone here saw me but i was waving a confederate flag around. the band saw me tohugh =) he pointed and i was on camera.

Dude i saw the fire and me and the 17 other people i was with started running for our cars but they were parked like 35 feet away from the fire

That was my uncle's condo burning down in the background! Crazy, but no one was hurt and they got new free stuff, and they didn't live there permanently.
But we had to get someone to pick us up since we were parked right next to the fire.

I work at Meadowbrook and was right there between the backstage gate at Meadowbrook and Mist Harbor Resort. It was quite the scene. Skynyrd bolted outta there in like 6 minutes. The Doobie Brothers were staying at Misty Harbor and their busses were blocked by fire trucks thus they were delayed for hours.
