Sometimes, in the context of a song his balls to the wall playing sounds good, but if you listen to the isolated solo tracks it sounds like crap. Messy pentatonic slop. I wouldn't want hear what a Mustaine solo would sound like in songs like Fade to Black, Wherever I may Roam, One, etc. Kirk isn't great technically, but when in the studio he comes up with solos that fit the songs really well.

Anyone can play this solo, it just takes some time to practice, took me 2-3 days. It's not about playing it, but making solos. I don't know if Dave Mustaine can make solos like these but I'm pretty fucking sure he can play them.

Anyone can play this solo, it just takes some time to practice, took me 2-3 days. It's not about playing it, but making solos. I don't know if Dave Mustaine can make solos like these but I'm pretty fucking sure he can play them.
