It is obvious from some comments that those have not even strapped on a set of goalie pads. Goalies don't try to fool anyone out there. This is from a goalie that has played for about 20 years. My arm goes out, grabs the puck, bring it up and around because the arm is already in that motion and then bring it to the chest to protect it from it being hit out. It is the quickest way to protect it. Do you make a three point turn in your car? Or simply make a u-turn?

What do you think the odds are of a team winning or scoring a goal next just because they saw their goalie make a big save. I'll bet you dollars to donuts the odss wouldn't change a bit.

Thousands! Luongo doesn't have a better butterfly, semi b-fly, lateral transfer, quickness, save techniques etc. than the the thousands out there. What he has that is better is the NHL systems and players protecting him.
If Luongo played in my mens league and faced 2 on 0's like every men's league goalie does he
@TheGoalieGuru Im a goalie myself and i play under 18s a league in england yet most shots i face i seam to know where there going and have time to move towards the i throrw the glove around on most of my saves because it looks great it feels great ill admit sometimes there is guess workk on some saves usually slapshots but still nhl goalies are the best and if theres so many goalies that could play nhl why arnt they in prospects or been scouted
