I have always loved this song. The musical arrangement is quite good, I especially like the rhythm and flute. Also, the girls harmonize beautifully. Were you classsically trained for the opera, taught individually, church choirgirls. or members of a glee club?
I think this is the same arrangement that the Johnsons used when they released it - but a little bit faster, and maybe a bit less Irish. I think it's great. The B-side to the Johnsons one was "Urge for Going" and it's even better. Not on Youtube though as far as I can find it...
Thanks for replying. I started studying classical piano at 5,joined a choir at 8 and love music. Can't throw a stick amongst friends OR family without hitting an amateur or professional musician.Hence my curiosity. Also, my favorite all-female band, The Donnas, formed their band as 8th graders and went on tour during their last year of high school. Keep singing!
Thanks for purchasing our CD! Yes, we perform in Rochester during the summer, and although I can not post a webpage in a comment section of youtube, you can find a link to our site on our youtube page. Simply go to our events link.
60's music is way better than the stuff from today, I hate Rap and RnB, they dominate the music field and think they have skill, when really it's complete and utter tripe.
Quote: American Idol divas, Beyonce, Christina, Fergie, etc. - learn from these young, modest girls proving the power of melody, harmony, and a steady pitch. Whoever arranged this version should rearrange the music industry."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Are you kidding? They're nowhere near the league of American Idol status.

You girls rock, and whoever your musical director/arranger is, he or she deserves some major props for re-imagining "Both Sides Now" as a 1963 girl group record, complete with Jack Nietzche arrangement and Hal Blaine on drums.
I wasn't alive in the era of this music, I was born in 73', but I must say, music of the 50's, 60's and 70's was the BEST! I am so disgusted of today's "music", like Britney Spears, ect. who concentrate more in showing skin and trashy lirics. Back then artists had REAL talent and I am glad to see these pretty young girls doing this kind of music, they're GREAT!
Fun arrangement that brings a different dimension to this familiar songs, plus great harmonies. I wish the sound quality were better, or that there were a studio version of you doing this arrangement.
Awesome. Whoever arranged this piece did a great job. If I did'nt know better I would have sworn the piece had been produced by Phil Spector himself. I really enjoy hearing these young ladys sing and would love to see them live. will they be around the boston or cape area any time soon?
Wow!! Joni Mitchell meets Phil Spector's wall of sound. I wasn't exactly looking for this, but I'm mighty glad I found it. This is so inventive, unique and awesome !!

The group just came together; two girls attended the same school. They did not sing as a group before It's My Party.

On the negative side will someone tell the drummer he's needed back on the door, some trouble makers are trying to get in.
