Google Maps (Navigation) ported to G1's & Mytouch 3G Devices

the phone does not need to be rooted just download the latest google maps update in android market. It;s sweet as hell better than a standard navigatoin.

just download google maps on the app market. it has a new symbol. it'll put the newest version on your phone.

No, that feature is only available in Android 2.0, and the MyTouch 3G runs an Android 1.6.

hey dude, look on xda some guy named tommy attached this to Dwang's rom. So all you need to do is wipe and flash.

But I need cyanogen to apply roms don't I? And the steps given on the wiki don't work.

i read something on xda that said any rooted donut rom will work, i have cyanogen so i didnt worry about it, want a link to the thread?
