You have done a very nice job there. As for Best Buy not having a good reputation..well lets just say that reputation isnt un-warranted. They may be some good installers at some locations but I must say that my experience with the guys I have come in contact suck. Mostly a bunch of guys that act like they know everything and try to sell you overpriced mainstream stuff. When you mention anything that they dont sell they explain to you how these rockford P1's will blow those 9915's out the water.

The "apple" docking station is fiberglassed into the holder that the iPad slides into. The docking station gives you a 30-pin dock connector input to used a charger. I hard wired the charger so it is hidden. The docking station also gives you a 3.5mm headphone jack output for audio. I used a high quality 3.5mm to RCA converter cable and ran it into my rear AUX input on my pioneer radio. None of my audio is bluetooth because the sound quality is not nearly as good as USB or AUX

It is a swivel bracket from a flat screen wall mount for a 18-27" TV. I had to modify it quite a bit, but it worked like a charm.

@mkfriedrich90 Unfortunately i had no choice but to remove the a/c vent. With the swivel bracket and the housing i had to make to support the bracket, i had to remove the vent. But to be honest, i don't miss it at all. Its over 100 degrees here in California and with my a/c on, the left vent blows twice as hard, because the right vent is plugged. Ya man, i'd love to see the video of your build!

I want my iPad installed in my Jeep but my friend just got her stereo installed at a Best Buy and it was really bad. great work man, I did my first setup like yours with a swivel mount, I was good at first, but I made mine out wood at first and it was alil bulky but was cool to just slide it in, and now switched to an otterbox defender case, and use the screen shield as the clip to hold it in the dash. You mentioned a Jeep.............I wonder if it was mine? haha because I had put videos of my older setup before. Soundman got me hooked also on having to put an Ipad in the dash.

Lots of fiberglass and bondo work to get the correct shape. had to extend around 24 wires. 7 of them were heavier guage. around 12-14 guage. the rest of them were 20-22 guage. had to extend around 12ft. i created a face on the housing for the a/c controls so it was held on with pressure from the back of the housing, with a bracket. it clipped into the factory location and held up with the 1 factory screw
