  • Haven't heard this for ages and today l heard it on Radio 2 and now l can't stop listening to it. Such a happy uplifting song. Cheers for posting this version.

  • The Collectables label reissued this 45 and its the longer version. The longer version is way better. Before that I had the shorter version 45. I still have both, but play the Collectables version alot more. Thank You for putting this on You Tube!

  • Thanks...still listening to it!!!

  • I am drunk and digging this. God, let me be 16 sixteen again.

  • Good day

This version still played daily on my fave radio stations!

I heard it many times. Don't have the record though.

  • Turns out the longer version was released in England...we got the short version. I found a copy online...it is good. the longer version is much better...thank you for posting this!!!

  • Charlie Dore was female?

  • Just great music and brings back old memories. I had forgotton about this song and finally found it tonight. Thanks for posting it.

  • Wow,5/3/80 this great song topped out at #13 on Billboard Hot 100. Any classic stations playing this now? I never heard this 30 yrs ago,and was a big top 40 fan. I always the Indianapolis top 40 radio market was weak in the eighties.

  • @Man18Colts

    Good day

    Yes!

    CJOY 1460

    CKWR 98.5

CKOT 101.3 & others play this exact version!

I have heard many 100's of times this song (I was a teen also, & just as much a radio fan as today)

There was a "boom" of great talent in early 1980's on AM radio that I remember.

  • @Man18Colts I occasionally hear this song on the 80s station from Music Choice, unfortunately it is no longer in print and you can't even get it on iTunes

  • @Doobie1975 try frostwire or limewire

  • I Think the Long version is Better then the Short Version

  • A friend passed today. Another wise old friend said listen to some 70's pop. This works. See you later Michelle.

  • The radio version I remember didn't finish instrumentally. The bad sang the chorus slowly and a capella.

  • Loved this song---reminds me of when I 1st went to work in radio!

  • Does anyone know why this 45 is a longer version than my 45???? Mine does not have the center part...it is a shorter version...

  • @LCRV1

There were two versions released. This happens sometimes. It happened with "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler as well and the song "Arrowplane". Sometimes radio stations prefer the shorter cuts.

  • My old 45 is a shorter version...never heard this longer version..wonder if it is available on a CD??

  • I never heard this longer version. Wow.
