@mog5020 what an odd assumption? No matter how many "top shape situps crunches upside-down situps" a fighter does... if he gets hit with a couple clean unexpected body shots he is going to slow down. At that point your body is not applying enough tension in the muscles to absorb the blow. Mitchell fought his whole career at lightweight and jr. welterweight, not welterweight. he had been KO'd by Stevie Johnston and Kostya Tsyzu before fighting Mayweather. Baldomir hadnt beaten anyone before or after Judah. meanwhile Judah got beat down by Cotto alot worse by Cotto than by Mayweather. Welterweight, Jr Welterweight... it's all within the 140-147lbs not much difference! The point is, Mitchell had more experience at that time fighting in the bigger weight classes than Mayweather!
This was Mayweather very first fight in the Jr Welterweight (140lb) division and again, Mitchell was no bum so the fact that Floyd has always fought the best in each division he's fought in is not something you can say about many fighters! Mayweathers been a welter since 05' and he moved up because he outgrew the weight. thats way different than moving up to chase a paycheck like Marquez did. Marquez by the way was 123lbs as recently as 2006 when he beat Jimrex Jaca. Mayweather was 147 at the time. thats 24 lbs! Marquez weighed 130 as recently as 08' while in his mid-30's.
also, dont count Baldomir as an elite fighter because he beat a worn down Gatti, Alfonzo Gomez did the same thing to Gatti and no one considers him elite.

Arum offered Floyd 7 mil for Margarito who nobody besides Arum and his mother knew, it would have also tied FLoyd to Arum for 3 more fights. Floyd was offered 1 dollar more for Baldomir and bought out his contract with Arum for $750,000.

oh and i almost forgot Hatton basically called out mayweather after castillo fight and marquez did after the diaz fight and he fought or fighting both of them, maybe cotto should if he actaully wanted to fight him aswel. Mosley calls him out now but refused a fight earlier so he doesnt even deserve a shot anymore,i heard Mosley also recently said he didint wana fight williams, he justs wana fight for the money as much as the next guy

who was cotto beat at welter?quintana,judah,mosley? judah was on a losing streak,quintana good but not great, mosley is 9 years older.. see its easy to talk down about his opponents now, when has cotto ever called out mayweather..never thats when. you can say mosley all you want but it doesnt take away the fact that he didnt want any of mayweather in 2005/2006 and mayweather tried to get a fight with DE la HOYA couple years before they fought. @mog5020 what an odd assumption? No matter how many "top shape situps crunches upside-down situps" a fighter does... if he gets hit with a couple clean unexpected body shots he is going to slow down. At that point your body is not applying enough tension in the muscles to absorb the blow. At the same time in the Mosley fight naseem richardson said something like " this kids only real talent is his conditioning". While I do not completely agree with him I do think it has a lot to do with it.

@Kenreef you are right. i have never seen floyd get hurt with a bodyshot before, ever, and those two bombs from mosley hurt him more than he ever been hurt though he said he been hit harder, he was never buckled until mosley who was grossley out of shape and made GURU eat his words; what a meltdown! naseem was telling mosley, but he was done i was stunned hats off to money. the GURU has spoken.

@mog5020 I agree.. I don't think Mosley was grossly out of shape though.. I think he never got into a rhythm and then lost the battle mentally... He was fighting cold... That will suck your energy faster than 1 round than 12 if the situation is reversed.

@Kenreef Yeah it's an understatement. His real talent..is his talent LOL...but his endurance is never mentioned, and far beyond everyone else. I read he spars 16 rounds..4 min a round. He brings in a fresh partner after every 4th round. Doesnt smoke, drink, and stays in the gym. mans a beast.
