I learned that with my daughter early on (kids are great teachers.) She would say you promis all the time then we dont do it. I realized then to try to be my word most of the time, I fail sometimes but I read this book: How to Say No Without Feeling Guilty: And Say Yes to More Time, and What Matters Most to You. when your cancer free birthday alot of cancer survivors also celebrate that day too,i started to write again too this past month to deal with my grandpa dieing and passing away . it's good that utube gives 15 minutes to rant now so you don't have to edit out as much. you have learned the power of saying no and that nothing is guaranteed in life . thing break people die , deadlines are missed ,the most important thing to remember life gos on .

It's so great to hear from you! :) I can so relate to all of this. It really takes awhile to get your bearings after the hustle of the corporate world. And it's so different to create from your own financial resources/time than under the gun and in the world where things end up being 'good enough' because someone ran out of money. There's def a balance to be had! I think cutting back on my commitments is something I'm FINALLY getting a hold of. Keep in touch when u can! xo <3
@ReallyRealityTC EXACTLY. It's nuts. It's a skill to balance all the plates in the air when you too are balancing in the air. With my "office jobs" I at least had one thing taken care of: income. I just had to figure out how to make the rest of my life work. But now that I'm freelance everything is always in flux. Plus I had gone through a bunch of stressful things the years previous and I hadn't had a chance to process anything but now I have! woot! Glad you understand me.
