I'm asian and my family always buys this but i still don't really like the smell of the cookies but i like the smell of the Durians when they are still fruits
@Rodzilla43 Not every part of the world offers the same foods. Maybe you should have an open mind and try it, you might like it. Instead of calling it crappy. People in Asia think fast food is crappy but yet Americans love it. It's all about how you were raised and what food sources were offered to you.
@MrDABandMrBAD some one told me that once thank you for the reminder i have to find out how to get some. i have never ever tried it but i must do it now
LOVE em. the smell doesn't actually get to me or my friends and family either, which is quite odd. but still, i aint complaining, i love the sweet custardy flavour and texture of Durian xD
wow thank you! i didnt know anything when i started i just kind of researched every thing until i knew more and more so i think probalby anyone could do it:) but it is really fun to try knew things
dragonfruit is also known as pitaya, pink outer skin almost leathery, soft flesh inside like a kiwi but not similar in taste. the flesh inside can be white with loads of little black seeds or pinkish purple with the same black seeds, its off flowering cacti, my favorite fruit do try it!
hey try the fruit! it's great! seriously! u can get them in different tastes actually, sweet or bitter. i dunno why some ppl hate the smell, for me i find them lovely. lol other tropical fruits like rambutan, logans and dragon fruits are worth a try too! hope u can get a chance to. =)
I don't really like durian flavored snacks. It just tastes too artificial, even if it has natural flavors. I prefer fresh durian. My mom recently bought a fresh durian and she wraps each piece with plastic wrap and freezes it so that we can pull one out and eat it whenever we want, through the year. You should try that next time you buy one. :D
I read on the internet that the smell of durian is actually likened to raw sewage. have you tried this candy called HI-CHEW from japan? they have a durian flavor hichew. i tried it and it tasted like antibiotics, like some sort of medicine. do u dare try it?
hi chew is a chewy candy from japan. it started off with flavors like strawberry and green apple, but the company that makes it started making all these crazy flavors. including durian. they sell hi chew at some 7-11 stores, asian markets, and online. you can find the durian flavor at only asian markets and online.
also durian does have s strong smell, but my mom made me a milkshake with durian and strawberry ice cream and it tasted pretty good, maybe you should try eating durian that way
Depending on the Asian grocer they have popsicles, and tubs of ice cream, but actually it doesnt smell bad, I'm not going to touch those cookies though, some also carry durian pudding. There are alot of things you can try from those places that'll keep you pretty busy lol
Nope. it actually doesnt smell at all! It's the sulphur smell, it's not an acquired taste/smell. It tastes good and smells bad. It's the psychological association to the taste that makes people forget the smell.
thats's exactly right. the smell really seeps into the taste. want to know the worst part? this is gross - you keep burping durian for hours and hours!!:)
aren't those wafers? (i like the coconut flavor :D)
cardcaptorsakurax16 2 weeks ago
