  • @cardcaptorsakurax16 true they really are wafers. i love vanilla kind

  • Always eat smelly cookies! If they are really smelly, no one else wants them & then you can eat them all.

  • @wrght9185 lol! how true. kind of like putting hot sauce in every thing so no one will want it

  • try fried durians. I tried them when I visited thailand. Later, i found out they also sell them here in the US at asian markets :)

  • @laurysocheerful fried? that sounds awesome!! i love fried every thing!!

  • Yuum! I love this fruit! :D

  • @FruitarianSwimster it is awesome!!

  • I don't understand - if taste is mostly smell, how does it smell so good and smell so bad?!

  • @spidaminida it is a good question!! im not sure

  • I'm asian and my family always buys this but i still don't really like the smell of the cookies but i like the smell of the Durians when they are still fruits

  • You should try fried oreos :D

  • @RawRawRecords oo yea i finally got to try them!

  • Now the Asians know how to torture the Americans. Just lock em in a room full of durians. Mwahahahhaha

  • @dillpretzel lol! i think ti would work

  • the tasty durian fruit cannot live without its smellyness

  • @hipie63 lol!!

  • I like the ice cream and the original fruit :/ Didn't get to try the cookies

  • Why do people in Asia it the CRAPPIEST things ??? Go and get a bag of Oreo's and Milk and wash that Durain down !! Funny ending to the video :)

  • @Rodzilla43 Not every part of the world offers the same foods. Maybe you should have an open mind and try it, you might like it. Instead of calling it crappy. People in Asia think fast food is crappy but yet Americans love it. It's all about how you were raised and what food sources were offered to you.

  • @mdn2234 my wish is to like all foods. it doesnt work out that way but i try:)

  • were did you get those cookies

  • @TheJandjtv200 my uncle sent them to me from thailand! he is not from thailand but he use to live there.

  • you should do a food oddity on dragon fruit

  • @MrDABandMrBAD some one told me that once thank you for the reminder i have to find out how to get some. i have never ever tried it but i must do it now

  • you like them? awesoem!!!

  • @FoodOddities

LOVE em. the smell doesn't actually get to me or my friends and family either, which is quite odd. but still, i aint complaining, i love the sweet custardy flavour and texture of Durian xD

  • that is awesome in my family no onelikes the smell! my dad likes durian but every one else complains:(

  • you are so cool! It is very cool how you explain the ingredients! It is awsome that you are trying all of this food!I would love to do this!

  • wow thank you! i didnt know anything when i started i just kind of researched every thing until i knew more and more so i think probalby anyone could do it:) but it is really fun to try knew things

  • @sharky91701 thank you! it is hardest to descibe the food but easiest to eat it:D

  • dragonfruit is also known as pitaya, pink outer skin almost leathery, soft flesh inside like a kiwi but not similar in taste. the flesh inside can be white with loads of little black seeds or pinkish purple with the same black seeds, its off flowering cacti, my favorite fruit do try it!

  • @CanadianCatastrophes it sounds awesome i will for sjure try it:)

  • hey try the fruit! it's great! seriously! u can get them in different tastes actually, sweet or bitter. i dunno why some ppl hate the smell, for me i find them lovely. lol other tropical fruits like rambutan, logans and dragon fruits are worth a try too! hope u can get a chance to. =)

  • i did get a chance to try the real fruit but i never heard of rambutan:) i dont think. I will look for dragon fruit:D

  • i love the smell of durian!!! i like the ice cream and the milk candy!!! yummmmm!!!

  • the first tim i tried it i didnt like the smell but later i did like it because it reminded me of the good taste:D

  • have you tried jack fruit?

  • i never have i need to find some

  • my uncle use to live in thailand and he said i should try jackfruit but i never have. i will have to try it

  • I don't really like durian flavored snacks. It just tastes too artificial, even if it has natural flavors. I prefer fresh durian. My mom recently bought a fresh durian and she wraps each piece with plastic wrap and freezes it so that we can pull one out and eat it whenever we want, through the year. You should try that next time you buy one. :D

  • @PseudoChat does it freeze ok? does it still taste good?this sounds like great idea.

  • Yep it seems to freeze quite well. Just leave it out for a minute to thaw if you like it softer. It tastes just as good!

  • i will save some in myf reezer then

  • I read on the internet that the smell of durian is actually likened to raw sewage. have you tried this candy called HI-CHEW from japan? they have a durian flavor hichew. i tried it and it tasted like antibiotics, like some sort of medicine. do u dare try it?

  • LOL i think it is prety close:D like sewage and onions maybe. gag! gross. i never hear of hichew but i will look for it on line today

  • hi chew is a chewy candy from japan. it started off with flavors like strawberry and green apple, but the company that makes it started making all these crazy flavors. including durian. they sell hi chew at some 7-11 stores, asian markets, and online. you can find the durian flavor at only asian markets and online.

  • that sounds great i will look for some soon thank you:)

  • great! Im glad I could recommend something for the show!

  • i am glad you did thank you

  • durian the best fruit ever !! i eat them all day all night every meal !! haha joking

    but i really love them

  • since im asain and i buy these at the market these smell nice not bad.

  • i guess its true if you grow up with them they smell good to you. Maybe some day they smell good to me.

  • i have that brand of cookie in strawberry XD

also durian does have s strong smell, but my mom made me a milkshake with durian and strawberry ice cream and it tasted pretty good, maybe you should try eating durian that way

  • a milkshake?thats a great idea i love milkshakes! maybe even with durian in it!

  • is there durian ice cream in the US? if not then maybe ill look at my local asian market.

  • Have you or are you going to try balut? you can find videos of it on here. Scary looking but good.

  • oh man. balut would be SO HARD to eat!it actually scares me. okay. If i can find some way to get a few balut eggs I'll do it!!:)

  • Usually the asian grocers sell those too :-) They arent bad tasting just scary looking.

  • Balut is horrifying to look at and it pretty much tastes like liver.

  • if it tastes like liver i guess i might like it!!

  • The actual fruit tastes better than those cookies. I have some in my freezer I love it,you can also go to an asian grocer and try the ice cream.

  • There is ice cream? does it still smell as bad? okay. for sure I'm trying the real thing soon.

  • Depending on the Asian grocer they have popsicles, and tubs of ice cream, but actually it doesnt smell bad, I'm not going to touch those cookies though, some also carry durian pudding. There are alot of things you can try from those places that'll keep you pretty busy lol

  • i... think i could handle durian ice cream... maybe!!

  • You'll definitely like the ice cream

  • since its cold does it not smell as bad?

  • Nope. it actually doesnt smell at all! It's the sulphur smell, it's not an acquired taste/smell. It tastes good and smells bad. It's the psychological association to the taste that makes people forget the smell.

  • that makes sense since i like limburger and its the same way

  • ROCK! This was my suggestion! haha.

  • and coming soon the actual fruit!!:)

  • Looks interesting, but I wouldn't be able to eat something if it smelled that bad. Doesn't the odor affect the way it tastes?

  • thats's exactly right. the smell really seeps into the taste. want to know the worst part? this is gross - you keep burping durian for hours and hours!!:)

  • ahahaha ew =P

  • haha, durian burps?!?!?! Thats YUKKY!!!!! :p

  • haha! for the rest of the afternoon. sick!!

  • woo yet another great vid :D

  • thank you:)!

  • :O i cant stand durian i like the taste but i need to have like a nosepeg on standby

  • if only it could taste and not smell!:)
