The one thing I notice that Fitch does that a lot of other wrestlers don't is that he's constantly working for a better position on the ground. He never sits in the guard to ground and pound. I want to like Fitch but I can't because being so concerned with control that your ability to finish suffers to such a degree as his does goes against the spirit of the sport. It's not even about exciting highlight reel finishes to me, but any finish. If Fitch did exactly what he does but manage to finish 2 out of 3 of his opponents 10 seconds before the bell rang I'd be a fan. But what he does mainly is hold on and burn time. Right now MMA is like the NBA before they instituted the shot clock.
I don't see why people hate Jon so much. He goes out there, gives it his all and gets the victory. What he does have is drive and the will to not quit. Which is why I enjoy him. I don't even really watch his fights, I just watch his face. You won't ever see him 'break'. GSP beat him down and didn't quit.

Thiago will destroy Fitch in the rematch. He'll end this boring decision streak fitch is on. "We need to figure it out". He's got more decisions than anything on his record. Seriously doubt it. This isn't the Thiago Fitch faced a few years ago. Thiago has become a waaaaay better fighter since. He's got victories over Hughes, Karo, Koscheck, among others. He finished those guys, for the exception of Koscheck. How many guys has Fitch finished since? Not many.... Thiago's going to put the pressure on him.. I seriously hope Alves beats the shit outta Fitch. I'm tired of seeing him at no2# in the rankings. He's only up there based on his record at 170.
