Angelique was a demon brought forth from Hell before Cenobites existed to serve the occultist who summoned her. The Box was the key that opened the gateway to Hell as it would be used in the future. Pinhead says to her that Hell is, "more ordered" since her time implying that the ways of the Cenobites have replaced her seductions of the flesh. She comes back as a Cenobite after being sent back to Hell with Pinhead in the future. He converts her to the new ways of Hell. Just to clear the air.
