i dont really like apple but if i was to put some input to what your doing it would be to add photoresistor to adjust the light based on ambient lighting, and maybe el wires for the apple logo.

Hi Nicholas -the processor was purchased from Other World Computing - ask for Eric Turner tell him I sent you; dual 1.5 G4; I got the RAM (1.5 gigs) from him too, and the video card I got from eBay; there are two types - the GeForce 6200 is the best video card for the cube (not the ATI 9200). I hope that helps. Good luck, and be CAREFUL on how much you spend. What I do is an expensive hobby to restore Apple gear or put them to a point of over performance (or meltdown - we'll see, stay tuned).

The GeForce, as I am told, is the better of the two. With regard to cube hunting, check eBay as well as the low end mac swap list -- just google the phrase and it should come up!

speaking of upgrading i just put 512mbs of ram in my imac g3 600 mhz its up from 384mb it flys. One qustion i asked about kingston ram everyone says its bad for mac but it seems to be working.

Alfred, can't wait for AdamB to upgrade that Cube, but, what about cooling, as I re-call, the cube uses Airflow to cool the thing down, but if you stick the 'FF' class processor in there, will it not over heat. I don't know, maybe you could stick it near your A/C unit LOL? 5 Stars, Danny

Excellent video! I really like the G4 Cube. It's such a beautiful compact system. I wouldn't mind owning one just to have. I do plan on purchasing one on eBay some time in the future.
