15m difference back, you don't hit it at 70km/h. 1m Forward and you hit it at 60km/h. At 60km/h you travel 15m in 0.9 Seconds, at 70 it's around 0.78. Doesn't seem like such a big difference when you put it that way does it? One thousand one.
You can look ahead all you like if something sudden happens and you're going too fast you are screwed not matter what happens. You can't look ahead around blind corners, blind crests, corners in heavily built up areas.
Speed DOES not kill!!! Inadequate driving teaching methodology does.
Teach new drivers how to scan the traffic, how to look ahead not in front of their car. Teach new drivers how to safely swerve around the obstacle not to lock onto the brakes and hang on to the steering wheel for dear life.
Plain simple facts, presented in a factual, no argument format ....excellent!, best ad I've seen.
Still no sign of the ad's to teach parents to teach their kids just how dangerous the road is.
All the time the emphasis is on the drivers, pedestrians are lured into a false sense of security, like volvo syndrome, they see the ads and think that every driver is looking out for them and become complacent.

Any Australian here who knows who sung the song at the end and what's the title (in case it's not called Enough is Enough)?
