hm, you sure? what rules, Rule The Rail? or Iron Horses?
DIFFERENCES:
Iron horses has not as many Trains as RTR! and has way loads fewer carriges, locos etc than RTR!
Rule The Rail has freaking way loads of Train s(over 120!) and...well, no damn idea how many carriges there so many!
Yet, on the case...I do like RTR!. its got modern trains AND a skyscaper! (the big blue building :P) and with steam trains :):)

I prefer IH, I like the Wild West setting!
I hope some of the improvments from RtR 1.4 find their way to IH!
