I also want to pay tribute with Ms. Jones. I only discovered here in You-Tube through your posting that she died last year. Before Audrey Hepburn and then Joan Fontaine and then Olivia de Havilland became my favorites, Jennifer Jones was my original fave actress of old movies, that dates back in my youth probably in the late early '80s when I'm rediscovering golden age movies while in my late teens or early 20s. I liked her in Love is a Many Splendored Things and, Carrie. May her soul RIP.
Sorry, but the music really sucks. I really like the rest of it but that jazz does not fit her at all; I don't think it would fit anyone who is having a tribute paid to them. Not very pretty, Miss Jones deserves something pretty and peaceful.
Great vid Josh to one of my favorite actresses ever, seen all her movies growing up and have a bunch on dvd! She was beautiful, special, unique, and very special actress--that always stood out for me! Bravo...Lady E ---{--@
A beautiful and complex woman. This music is perfect for her. Portrait of Jenny...how did she do it? She looked older in earlier roles. That was her dedication to a role. She could do it all really. I've looked around on the web for stuff about her personal life, but maybe there isn't much for us to know except what she wanted. That's one advantage of being wealthy.
Jennifer is in my top 10 easy...maybe top 5 actresses of all time. Of course Stanwyck is my #1 just because of my bad crush.
Unforgettable is Jennifer Jones the Actress. For any who have not yet experienced the touching star's presence in film, see her. Unforgettable, was her talent. And her smile. My deepest sympathy to Robert Walker, her son.
Rest in Peace Ms Jones. I'll always remember Love is a myn splendored thing and Duel in the sun among many others. The jazz tune doesn't go very well with mourning imo, but nice tribute anyway.
One of the last actresses from the golden age of Hollywood to leave us, though there are a few left. Lauren Bacall, Eva Marie Saint, Olivia de Haviland
@JanWest24 Liz Taylor what. This vid isn't about Liz Taylor. She'll get her dues paid when she passes away. In fact she is so famous, the news will be huge when she dies. Respect the lady he is featuring here and now.
Underrated. Just look at her beautiful work in Love Letters, Portrait of Jennie, Madame Bovary, Gone to Earth, Carrie, Indiscretion of an American Wife and Tender is the Night. These are my personal favourites. Miss Jones should not be forgotten. RIP
My folks knew her personally when they all went to high school together. Only good things to say. I did hear that Jennifer wanted to make a comeback with Terms of Endearment-but could not get the rights to it-and the role went over to Shirley Maclaine. Last time I saw Jones on a public appearance was when she was shown current day a few years ago on the oscars. If others have more recent footage-please post. This was nice and thanks for doing it.
@Beefsteer She owned the rights to Term, but was told she was too old to play the part. That's why Shirley got it. Not a nice thing to hear when you were once beautiful and famous. Jennifer was pretty up until the end. RIP.
Still I can't imagine her as a tough tipsy modern mother. I guess if she had the chance she would have done what she has always been able to do - amaze us by showing the true self of a complex character sympathetically and made us love her all the more. SM WAS brilliant but it's shocking that actresses with integrity get dismissed by producers unless surgically re modeled to compete with a 15yr old. Invisibility cloaks women in real life also doesn't it.
I loved every movie this beautiful woman appeared in.She was so talented .God bless and keep you!!!! You are much loved!!!!

Though the pseudojazz dissonance is forgettable, (should the gods have mercy on me) the tender treatment of Ms. Jones is appreciated

I became a Jennifer Jones fan at the very end of her great career with "Tender Is The Night".
I also enjoyed her work in Duel In The Sun, Love Is A Many Splendored Thing,
Since You Went Away and of course
Song of Bernadette.

My mother loved Song of Bernadette so much. This makes me very sad.

I am sad today, very sad as yet another part of my past disappears from this World.
Who can ever forget this lovely lady who surely now has ascended to Heaven to brighten that place.
I will never forget her as Han Su Yin in Love Is A many Spleandored Thing.
I was brought up partly in Hong Kong and she was one reason that it became a magical place for me.
God Bless you Jennifer
