i was hooked on pain pills for 10 years, i couldnt stand the thought of waking up sick in withdrawls every morning, i was taking around 40 pills a day of percocet 10's and around 160mg oxycontin thru an iv, i been to detox centers regulary for 2 years, finally the put me on something called suboxone, it is a wonder drug, it takes the withdrawls away period, you feel great and dont even want a pill, check into it, when you come off suboxones the withdrawls aint no where near as bad as a pill is
i am sorry but you should b in a hosp it can kill wach out and i am sorry for you i will soon start my detox from 100mg methadon in jail with no help or pitty and i am scared to death really good luck did you try going down slow not all at 1 time

god how can you do it. i cant even start the first day. I just cant. every time i try it hurts so bad. How you made it three whole days is amazing. does the unhappiness from not having it ever go away?
@thedarkesthole No.3 years later I still feel so great being off pain meds all the time.If it wasn't for my Neurostimulator though i would still be on those meds.
I STILL HAVE PAIN everyday,I have even had to ring an ambulance sometimes because I am buckled up in pain.BUT being like that is so much better for me than on those meds.Having to have a dose though once a month or something works,of course,so better than every day.
Withdrawal is very much worth the insaniity & pain it causes.

i am in day two right now. it fucking sucks but i have no option. i am far enough in it to not want to find and money for it and i have done suboxone and methadone and it only makes withdrawls longer. i cannot stop sweating, my legs hurt. i feel uncomfortable in my own skin. it really sucks. but i can only move foward from here and try my best not to look back

I understand some people's decision to refuse methadone, but if you have tried and failed enough times methadone sometimes is the only answer. I did Dilaudid I.V. for about 6 years off and on, well only off when i was locked up, the last time i spent 23 months for a minor theft, got out after all that and was on the pills again in 2 months. Finally i got on methadone and since have gotten my life back, have nice things again. It's been 3 years and i haven't touched any hard drugs.

@Lennybrucelee13 Your NOT a Junkie. Your in pain and need pain meds, usually opiates to control the pain. The problems start when you take away that pain medication.
Your friend is gone and I am sorry that has happened. I find that the hardest thing. Especially if they want to get clean.

@Droyd21 Nearly everyone you can get prescribed! Morphine injections, liquid Morphine, Tramal ER and 100mg. Fentynal patches at 100. Valium. Temaz. That list goes on.
I am so sorry you have to deal with this. I have to take pain medication to even walk. So there have been times toward the end of the month where I would suffer through withdrawals. Be fortunate though you are not experiencing Benzodiazopine withdrawals. I would take a month of opiate withdrawal over a day of benzo. Thankfully The Benzos are gone. All the best of luck to you. I feel your pain and it hurts my heart. Stay strong. The human will can accomplish most anything.

@RuroniKenshin12 How please tell me CUZ I AM GOIN THRU IT and I JUST DID one. to feel ok..but i still feel lke that tired eyes watery dont wanna move..inbox me.thanks and YEs i dunno why yall hating...Withdrawl..if yall never had it..Trust me..it's the worst thing ever to go thru..feels like your life is over.
@RuroniKenshin12 Congrats!!!! Unfortunately I have to be on a pain killer because of a health condition, but I refuse to let it control me. I sometimes get fussed at because I won't take them, but its b/c I'm afraid of becoming addicted. I've seen so many people get hooked and what becomes of them. And withdrawal is sooooo horrible feeling. So I commend you for doing a great job and I pray that you continue to stay on the right path. :-)
Opiate withdrawal is hideous and I sympathise with anyone who has to go through it. Codeine was the killer for me. I was subscribed it whilst in hospital and could not get off the dam things. Horrible!!
@MONOLOMAN Our liver turns Codeine into Morphine when it metobolises. That's why it's so hard to get off of.Way too many people do not know this. And wonder why they can't get off Panadeine Forte and stuff.I have had so many elderly patient's who take it everyday because they get a headache.Panadol is better but they find"Paneine Forte works much better."Yeah because the body is getting what it craves, which will get rid of that splitting headache and it's addictive.
@JMcLovn It's any where that they supply opiate/opiode prescriptions. So World wide.
Only a tiny percentage of prescribing Doctor's will bother to tell you that if you take these medications correctly or abuse them, when they run out or you have to stop, you WILL go through a withdrawal. It doesn't matter what race, colour or creed you are,it happens when these medications are prescribed & used for a time.
If i can make it through it, I know others can, and I really hope people see videos like this and realize its possible...not fun, by all means, but possible.
I really hope you got through this alright. I was injecting 5-6 80 mg oxys daily for 3 to 4 years. Obviously it didnt start that high but for the last year it was at 5 to 6. The withdrawls were by far the most horrible thing I have ever experience. No sleep, horrible back pain, just general muscle and body pain, cold and hot sweats 24/7 for 6 days(in my case), nausea, etc. Even worse though is the mental part, depression, the horrible feeling and knowing a needle and a pill would make me happy
when it happened to me i was twitching so bad i put my head throgh the wall cause my bed was next to my wall, and i kicked the rail breaking my foot, yeaaaaaap, it sucks and i know how u feel
@ajf1060 - i learned using a big space where u can kick and thrash, like your living room floor, just have a bucket, fluids and a blanket cause ur gunna twitch, thrash, puke, ache, all of the above, but its worth it, the living room thing is so u wont hurt urself by twitching and hitting anything on accident, u can do it though! i did
@balckbettystack - Im alive again and out of the suicide circle called the OC ring...... and yes it was def worth being sick for 2 weeks then being addicted 4 life! I have my life and trust back, its amazing!
@clevelandman2010 You don't know how hard it is to go through withdrawl till you've done it..which apparently you havent. I went through this a while back and it really is somethin very hard to go through.
@wikowsky20 you know what hard, sayin no to the drug after like day 4 or 5 of wd. when one pill will make it all better but also undo all your detox work. sucks.
@MarillionDeVoid I think that to myself every time I face detox even though I'm not addicted in that way. BUT I DO KNOW that one pill will ease all the suffering I ma putting myself through.
man, cant you be a lil bit nastier?? E1 goes thru w/d differently, have a lil heart. maybe you couldnt handle the pain of w/d, by your attitude it appears your NOT clean and sober yet!!!!
I found the CURE for addiction and I have proof for this claim. Click on my name and witness Powerful Stories of Freedom. I personally know and have witnessed over 100 addicts who have found True and Lasting FREEDOM after being enslaved by their addictions for so long. I have been through many programs for my addiction, but have never found so much Hope, Joy, Peace, and Love than I have in the program I am in now. And the people I know who have given their stories are experiencing the same!
its sad that pain pills make you this sick when getting off of them. thats something the pain doctors leave out when you start them. the lortabs wasnt that hard but i still felt bad but when the doctor started me on the oxycontin. omg it was hell and after two weeks i still felt horrible. finally i took suboxone this last time to help get through the first two weeks then i quit that also now im about 8 weeks clean and doing good. good luck
I agree that EVERY Doctor, especially Pain Specialist's leave the "When you stop these meds...."part out.I think they would scare people out of meds if they did tll them what to expect at the end.
@Roop433 BUT you can't deny that sometimes the pain isn't an illusion and is very real. I know thaat many people are biased when it comes to this topic. The reality is that some pain is so chronic that it risks putting the person in shock. Picture a person having contractions equal to birth contractions every time they menstruate and a menstruation that stays on for months at a time filled with this type of excruciating pain. They say that child birth is the most painful experience one can have
@queenkijana1 I have a very high pain tolerance,I was in labour for 74 hours & didn't even take a panadol!I didn't think labour hurt that bad.Or bad enough for me to use pain meds. But this chest pain I get everytime I eat/drink is a killer. The pain has pushed me to attempted suicide but having such a high tolerance to meds it didn't work of course.
I can't stand this pain. But would rather put up with it than take pain meds.I can't stand what these do to me either.
@balckbettystack you cant stand what they do? then you must be some super control freak bitch, cuz i love what they do to me and i have 0 pain. lhh lhh lhh
@DougglesMagnificent Yeah I know what you mean. Sneezing is a sign of the opiates leaving your system. When you sneeze, your brain gives off endorphins which give a VERY small "vicodin high". It's your bodies way of trying to even out the serotonin levels.
Hey everyone, I too am an opiate addict. I was using IV heroin everyday for over 4 years. I got on suboxone at first without insurance and had to pay $7 per pill for 90 pills per month plus Dr. fees, which was more than $1000 a month just to stay clean. I've since gotten great insurance which allows me to get all my suboxone for free and I have a lot of extra suboxone scripts left over. I am willing to help anybody out who wants to get clean but doesn't have the funds to do it. Message me!

@DJNSPYRE Thank you. I am a Tomboy at heart and enjoy male orientated tasks, such as fire fighting, clay target shooting and motorbike riding. But I am most certainly a woman.
Yep fun stuff. Everytime I go through this crap I try it again and more fun. It's not too bad but it can kill you if your bodies allready in bad shape. God bless.
I assumed u were supervised, and were taking a break to "clean up". My hat's off to you. I'm a chronic pain patient as well, from a wreck on '05 that broke my back and left me in permanent disabling pain. I've been on Duragesic patches (fentanyl) for over 4 years w/o a break. I worry about how long this can go on, and fear situations in which I can't get refills. I've only gone 24 hours w/o. Even the beginning stages of w/d felt terrible. Tried tapering to a lower dose but I felt just as bad.
@jum1801 I am with you there. I have degenerative disc disease (I'm only in my 20's... crazy, huh?!), and Endometriosis (Uterine Disorder), my doctor prescribed me both Methadone and Vicodin together. I was on them for over 2 yrs 'til I finally got my doctor to change my meds. I got SO sick and tired of seeing peoples reactions when they saw I was on Methadone. They assumed that I'm some heroine addict. Even the pharmacist looked at me weird. Now I'm still worried about addiction to the new med
why are you withdrawling like this, you are supposed to taper off? Who was the doctor who gave you this, is it OC? If a Dr prescribes it for a reason, then you must seek advice of a Dr., you can literally have a heart attack doing it like this.
Naltrexone is good---just go thru the withdrawls and opiates are blocked. You HAVE to go thru withdrawl...you wont sleep for 2 weeks. YOU WILL PUKE you will want to die. But you WILL get better. Give it a month.
Suboxone works, just dont let it control you - you control it. 1/2 in morning 1/2 in evening. The first few days you may need 16 mgm, 2 pills. But 8 to 12mgm works and then adjust down to 2mgm morning - 2mgm evening. IT WORKS but dont over use, use just enough to get by. BE STRONG
If you use it more then a week,be aware of whats happening with the attitude towards them. Then again it also depends on personality,I use 1mg to relax me time to time, and when feeling like I cannot take the bull of school anymore,I take 2-3mgs,not the best idea though, clonazepam beats my memory at most times so the last two weeks seem like around 5-7 days. These pills are great if youre in a time of your life where you want things to just fly by,primarily with cannabis NOT benzos of course.
That is exactly whats up. I can already feel myself that i need a clonaz but i fight the urge. I want to be off pills tottally. Plus im not even perscribed so i shouldnt be taking them in the first place. It does help alot with the anxiety that comes along with the opiate withdrawal.
ive been taking 2 mg everyday for about ten days now. As soon as i take it i am alot more relaxed, but i know its a benzo and you can get hooked. I dont want to replace one thing with another.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm so sick of hearing people say that the reason they do opiates is because of their "bad back" or "neck pain". It's very oportunistic for them to get high because of health excuses. I have a neighbor like this, who would do heroin because of his "bad back", when a simple aspirin would have done the trick, or even a percocet.
It wasn't directed at you. I was just complaining, in general. I just wish people would just say that they do opiates, or drugs, in general, because it makes them feel better instead of reasoning with it.
BS buddie,i hope you never have back pain or spinal issues. Its the worse.Oxys saved my life.I have a spinal problem and was extremly close to killing myself because of the constant pain.I got on pain managment and i live a productive life now.
yea with having bone cancer and m.s its very painfull. so sometimes people have to take these meds. i guess if poppplant who commented ever broke a bone he would turn down a shot of morphine at the e.r. to show how tough he is. some people dont understand we feel that way every freaking day of our lives. i agree 110% with ya. god bless
yeah you need them but many people dont or they can manage the pain other ways...major cronic problems are obviously different and if you cant functoin without meds then you need to take them but otherwise they are pointless..
your dumb as fuck . they all same group but the not same. cause oxy codone has tylenol then from 15 to 30 "roxys" dont and oxys from 5 all the way to 180 dont have tylenol and you can also get quick release oxys. but fetanyl beats them all... im glad i got away from it FINALLY
you misunderstood me. what i was saying is nothing about the tylenol just the oxy in the meds. i know that certain meds have tylenol in them and some have the time release and some are fast oxy that go straight into the blood stream. like you said they are all the same familly just some are made different with the tylenol and coatings and what ever. fentanyl patches is as close to heroin as you can get and extremelly potent. they are putting it in heroin now and people are dying.
@poppyplanet1 every month when i go to my pain doctor i see more and more addicts who are barely 18 years old going and walking in just fine. this reminds me of last month when i saw a guy using a cane to walk out of the clinic and once he got outside he picked his cane up and ran to his car. thats sad how some people abuse them for the high. ive been clean now 8 weeks myself and i hurt all the time. but sooner or later we all have to face our pain on our own when the meds quit working.
Hang in there by the 3rd or 4th day it will be at its worst it will last about a week then you'll start to feel better if you can wean your self off of it slowly withdrawls are HELL
i bet this dude got high that day just so he or she whatever was`nt sick anymore.. im florida pain meds are easyer to get then pot.. i swear its outt of control, ppl make a living off of these things...
This is also true of Portland, Oregon. At least about people making a living - usually victims of bad accidents. I've done my time with them. They can scare you at times... that's for sure. I still think about them, but am so glad that's in the past.
Oh by the way, I've never been in an accident. *heh heh* just wanted to clear that up.
yea true....the whole responcability was tooken out of drug use after the people who wanted to get high after the many shamans of the world introducing it to very early settlers and then came addiction
Oh wow... this brings me back to when i kicked H cold turkey last April... i was vomiting for a week straight and didnt feel good enough to step outside until day 10. Never again.
Addiction isent fun, exspecially when it's narcodics, it's like being in the middle of a desert 99 billion feet long in diameter, alone with no water, and the whole floor under you is quick sand, try getting out of it, and when you do, you can prove to other addicts, that it's not impossible and there not alone. I not completly addicted yet, but it's gettin a hold of me.

I can't really see why anyone would want to go through this, especially when there's methadone and suboxone to help you get off.
DOYLERULES69X 9 months ago
@DOYLERULES69X It was my choice to go through this withdrawal,as my others as well, cold turkey with no assistance.
Yes I could have used Methadone or Suboxone, but chose not to.
I hated my body for developing this tolerance,so to me I had to suffer.Or my body did. There was never going to be an easy way out for me in this.

And withdrawal is sooooo horrible feeling. So I commend you for doing a great job and I pray that you continue to stay on the right path. :-)

They say that child birth is the most painful experience one can have
queenkijana1 10 months ago
@queenkijana1 I have a very high pain tolerance,I was in labour for 74 hours & didn't even take a panadol!I didn't think labour hurt that bad.Or bad enough for me to use pain meds. But this chest pain I get everytime I eat/drink is a killer. The pain has pushed me to attempted suicide but having such a high tolerance to meds it didn't work of course.

Message me!

HeadNtheClouds 2 years ago
Naltrexone is good---just go thru the withdrawls and opiates are blocked. You HAVE to go thru withdrawl...you wont sleep for 2 weeks. YOU WILL PUKE you will want to die. But you WILL get better. Give it a month.
chizzlemang 2 years ago
Suboxone works, just dont let it control you - you control it. 1/2 in morning 1/2 in evening. The first few days you may need 16 mgm, 2 pills. But 8 to 12mgm works and then adjust down to 2mgm morning - 2mgm evening. IT WORKS but dont over use, use just enough to get by. BE STRONG
66draike 2 years ago
Then I would have to hold back with two full bottles of clonazepam in my hands soon.
TrandomnesstwO 2 years ago
thats whats helpin me through my withdrawals. but now im afriad of becoming dependent on that.
Answer4canceR 2 years ago
If you use it more then a week,be aware of whats happening with the attitude towards them. Then again it also depends on personality,I use 1mg to relax me time to time, and when feeling like I cannot take the bull of school anymore,I take 2-3mgs,not the best idea though, clonazepam beats my memory at most times so the last two weeks seem like around 5-7 days. These pills are great if youre in a time of your life where you want things to just fly by,primarily with cannabis NOT benzos of course.
TrandomnesstwO 2 years ago
That is exactly whats up. I can already feel myself that i need a clonaz but i fight the urge. I want to be off pills tottally. Plus im not even perscribed so i shouldnt be taking them in the first place. It does help alot with the anxiety that comes along with the opiate withdrawal.
Answer4canceR 2 years ago
Use the Clanaz ONLY when needed then STOP ASAP.Then you won't even miss it.
balckbettystack 2 years ago
ive been taking 2 mg everyday for about ten days now. As soon as i take it i am alot more relaxed, but i know its a benzo and you can get hooked. I dont want to replace one thing with another.

I just wish people would just say that they do opiates, or drugs, in general, because it makes them feel better instead of reasoning with it.

yea with having bone cancer and m.s its very painfull. so sometimes people have to take these meds. i guess if poppplant who commented ever broke a bone he would turn down a shot of morphine at the e.r. to show how tough he is. some people dont understand we feel that way every freaking day of our lives. i agree 110% with ya. god bless
39tommyboy 2 years ago 2
yeah you need them but many people dont or they can manage the pain other ways...major cronic problems are obviously different and if you cant functoin without meds then you need to take them but otherwise they are pointless..
xdevelopingminds1by1 2 years ago
no offense poppyplanet. but percocet is a five or 7.5 or 10 miligram oxy moreless. its all oxycodone only oxycontin is time release. god bless.
39tommyboy 2 years ago
your dumb as fuck . they all same group but the not same. cause oxy codone has tylenol then from 15 to 30 "roxys" dont and oxys from 5 all the way to 180 dont have tylenol and you can also get quick release oxys. but fetanyl beats them all... im glad i got away from it FINALLY
mattoxkill12 2 years ago
you misunderstood me. what i was saying is nothing about the tylenol just the oxy in the meds. i know that certain meds have tylenol in them and some have the time release and some are fast oxy that go straight into the blood stream. like you said they are all the same familly just some are made different with the tylenol and coatings and what ever. fentanyl patches is as close to heroin as you can get and extremelly potent. they are putting it in heroin now and people are dying.
39tommyboy 2 years ago
Out of stupidity I am going to ask, although I think I already know the answer BUT what did you finally get away with?Getting Fentanyl?
balckbettystack 2 years ago
you mean away from .. and yes it was fentanyl patches and pops.
mattoxkill12 2 years ago
@poppyplanet1 every month when i go to my pain doctor i see more and more addicts who are barely 18 years old going and walking in just fine. this reminds me of last month when i saw a guy using a cane to walk out of the clinic and once he got outside he picked his cane up and ran to his car. thats sad how some people abuse them for the high. ive been clean now 8 weeks myself and i hurt all the time. but sooner or later we all have to face our pain on our own when the meds quit working.
39tommyboy 1 year ago
@39tommyboy Great for you too being clean for 12 weeks now too.
It sucks that when you quit the meds the pain that made you take them in the first place comes back. And you have to deal with it in alternative ways.
At least if you do have to take a small dose of pain meds once in a while for extreme pain, the meds work so much better than they ever did.
Good work.
