This is fast, but his phrasing, the way he groups the notes together in each measure, is absolutely insane. Satriani would be blown away by this. In a good way I mean, one guitar play admiring another.

Also, can anyone name the modes he's playing here?

good amount of aeolian but this is a pure phrygian progression. he mostly spams/sprays notes from the scale. might have heard some dominant modes (1, minor7, maj3; play with that shell) and whatnot. have fun.

ok, my first reply was just a guess. i actually tried it out- it starts out in Eb phrygian/dominant (you can alternate. it's a very nice progression) then switches into a regular C minor/Eb iolian. that's it.
