  • really enjoyed this video , nice to see people uniting and becomin 1 big kung fu family , would like to the more of the street application tho .

  • @blackoutcrew1000 Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed our vid. You make a good point about the street application. My students are getting to a stage where they could demonstrate the effectiveness of wing chun for the street so we will post some of the techniques we train very soon. Thanks again for your encouragement.

  • @RangRing68 Thank you very much!

  • @jasma98 keep up the good work.

  • @RangRing68 We will. Thanks again. I really appreciate the encouragement.

  • @jasma98 :)

  • i just watched the video in its entirety and i shall be in touch VERY soon

  • hey i am interested in taking wing chun classes and yours looks like a good one to take not to mention the fact that you have trained with the teacher of the best well known fighter to walk the earth bruce lee. where are you situated and how much would it cost me? alternatively do you have a website?

  • nice video, loving the clip of sigung giving you a slap in the chops...no shame in that and humble to put it in, there can never be enough footage of the man. looks like a good school, wishing you all the best with your teaching.

  • @nwckfastudent Thank you very much sir.

  • Very usefull, i can take on so many people at once, this is not a joke.

  • @GrimCozy you're so fuckin right, and is so not hard to learn if you really want it

  • FUCK A NIGGER..

  • @chaomeinthao I've been listening to comments like that since 1977. If you want to be insulting you should think of something more original. I'm sure you are intelligent and imaginative enough young man. Thanks for watching our vid and for your contribution. I'm waiting to see if you are able to follow my instruction. All the best.

  • @jasma98 Mate you should even give people lie chaomeinthao the time of day. I like your stuff. I study Goju Ryu karate, it has some origins from white crane kung fu and black tiger kung fu, and we do some chi sao, although its not to the level of yourself, and i do see a massive value in it. Do yuo know any drills or have any videos I could study that may help my development of Chi sao, Im fast so I seem to do well in it, but i think its speed helping me rather than technique. Osu

  • @gojuryudan Thanks for your kind words. There are many drills to develop sensitivity and speed as well as drills for developing strategic manoeuvres. We will post some soon.

  • @gojuryudan Too right! Thanks for the comment & information about what you guys do. In chi sao one should avoid scoring with a cheap shot such as a fast single tap to the chest or buy using strength. Instead one should practice using technique involving trapping, positioning, sensitivity & good timing. We do something we call slow motion or chess chi sao aka dok sao where the slower you go the better. Try to score using the slowest move possible. It's a good drill. Will post a vid for you!

  • im 15 ,i have a friend who is learnin traditional wing chun. in fact he teaches me too. we do chi sao, lop soa, stance sparring, and i do the 1st form 3 times a day. but eventually i will meet his master and train with him too. his master is Buddy Wu student of hoa ka ming.

  • fan fan

  • Thanks for your comments. I'll continue to work hard at improving my chi sau.

  • @jasma98 I find wing chung extremely fascinating and I have a lot of respect of every wing chun practitioner, but "Stay Safe on the Street..." has more to do with luck than how good a fighter you are...sure you can always increase your probability of success with Wing chun ... but then I can also increase them with common sense and staying on the couch and watch tv at night ...still my compliments for what you do...it was just a thought ...

  • @dangerouswater I agree with you 100% We were in a local pub where we had reserved an area for our students to have a few drinks, food and to present some awards for the best student of the year, best shaolin, best taichi student etc. At the end of the eve I went to settle the bill and the manager said "there was a big fight in here earlier, I was hoping you would come and help out" but we were too busy presenting and receiving awards which kept us all out of trouble that night! Lucky us! :-)

  • @jasma98 XD XD ....and lucky them!!!

  • @kelly980 Actually you are being funny. Kelly, your comment is like a total stranger phoning you up to say, "Hi, you don't know me but I'm never gonna call you again." Would you miss that person? I don't think so. In fact you'd probably think thay were a bit silly. Anyway, thanks for taking time to watch our vid and contributing with your comment. ;-)

  • Great video my sifu is derek bradley in devon he is awesome met samuel kwok last month he rules i love wing chun

  • @TheWingchundragon Thanks, Derek is a great wing chun sifu. Please give him my regards.

  • @jasma98 sure will mate look after yaself :)

  • i so wana learn so bad but there no wing chun in stockton california

  • what's the name of the song?

  • 知遇之恩忠孝義,

  • I watched that you got hit on the chest by the great GM (84 y.o.), he was FAST. BUT even when you got hit on the chest, your body can still absorb the blow, because you are a big man. My point is...just like Dolph Lungren got hit many times by Jet Li, but because he is so big, he still can absorb the blow. It all depends who your "enemy" is. Small guy expert in Wing CHun, and a big guy also expert in wing chun, I will pick the big guy, hands down. That's my point.

  • @pribadi8406 Thank you :-)

  • i like kung fu...karate ...the ninja moves...wa taaaaa wa ta ta ta ...

  • ive actually just become interested in wing chun after watching Ip man the movie multiple times i honestly have no clue where i could learn it from any hints?

  • @Rubedo5 That's great! Where are you based?

  • where is this scool?

  • @MrHalil29 Battersea South west London uk

  • @ tazman5001 & jasma98

1-im not sure the internet is a good place 2 start criticizing spelling

2-ip or yip is both accepted. wanna know the true pronounciation? learn chinese or be chinese like i am

3-who cares? its a youtube video

  • @AsianWhoCanDrive Thanks for your comment.

1- tazman5001 is well within his rights to criticise as it's an open forum.

2-Ip and Yip are used by people out side the family. However, the family use the spelling Ip. It's simply good manners to spell a mans name the way he himself chooses to spell it. One need not be Chinese or speak Chinese in order to know good pronunciation. I know the correct way because I asked both Ip Chun and Ip Ching.

3- You care. That's why you stuck you oar in!

  • @jasma98

    omg u dont get it.

1-wen i say the internet isnt the rite place to criticize spelling its because so many people use abreviations and slang. u cant stop it

    2-OMG!!!! U KNOW THE FAMILY!!!!!!! IM A MASSIVE FAN!!!!!! WHO R U??!?!?!

  • @AsianWhoCanDrive 1- You have taught me a big lesson today. That whole thing with Tazman5001 was a waste of time and the irony is that I actually prefer the spelling Yip myself. I guess I got involved in the argument because I got on the defensive yet I know there is no need to be defensive when you have confidence in what you know. So thank you AsianWhoCanDrive!

2-It is an honour to know Ip Chun and Ip Ching. They are true gentlemen and great martial artists. Jef from London.

  • @jasma98

next time some1 like that criticizes u, ask urself if it is worth it. i admire ur respect 4 good manners. it makes u the better man but some things just arent worth it

  • @AsianWhoCanDrive I agree. :-)

  • @jasma98

and the only reason i 'stuck my oar in' is because i h8 seeing people argue ovr pointless things. biggest timewasters eva

  • @AsianWhoCanDrive You are right it is a big waste of time. Point taken.

  • good job jasma way to seek out knowledge. Great video . I strongly believe that at 2:17 you wouldah knocked him out but that's just my opinion. Center line and all that. lol. But seriously pretty soon they wont know what to do with u. Keep up the great training under those great grandmasters.

  • @heyjustthetip Thanks for the kind words. My aim is to learn as much as I can from the old masters and do what I can to pass on the knowledge. Not many people have the lifestyle that allows them to travel to meet these guys. It's not easy as I now have a 15 month old daughter but to me the knowledge is too precious to let it fade away. Thanks also for the words of encouragement. At 2:17 I see what you're saying and I learned a lot from that moment. All the best with your training. :-)

  • it yip man you twat not ip

  • @tazman5001 If you're going to "diss" someone try to get your spelling correct. Not only do you make yourself look bad when you try to bully someone online by calling them names but you make yourself look double silly when you miss spell words. I assume you meant to say "It's yip man twat not ip". Anyway, Just because you're on line that is no excuse for poor spelling young man. Train harder.

  • @jasma98 alright dont cry about it you twat im not trying to "diss" you and if you want to talk about my spelling y dont you try and spell yip man right.

  • @tazman5001 So why did he spell his name as Ip Man in his own passport? why Do his two sons spell their family name Ip. Why were the movies about his life entitled Ip Man and Ip Man 2? Would be interesting to hear what you have to say now. Hold on...What's that you say? Boo hoo hoo? Not crying are you? Ok now, Run along to mummy and come back when you are a little older.

  • @jasma98 no they don't spell it like that

  • what the song

  • @vinhize Da Nei Qun Ying by Johnny Ip

  • @vinhize

    《大內群英》by 葉振棠

  • Dear Dizzy. You have watched my vid very carefully. Well done! You get 10/10 for observation but - 20 for interpretation ;-)

Trust me, there are no oversights. Everything you see is there for a reason. If you want to know more about my school logo just ask. But somehow I don't think I'll be hearing from you again... All the best.

  • Yip Chun does not represent Wing Chun. As everyone knows, Yip Man refused to teach his own family members. In his old age it must have dawned on Yip Chun that he'd have an economic opportunity here based on his dad's growing fame.

Ironically, there are clues in this video clip, like at 4:25 where it says Create your own chances... be a success... Exactly what Yip Chun has done. The other sign is Jeffrey Alexander's logo- in Chinese it says ShaoLin. Quite a telling oversight.

  • @DizzyDerwish what exactly do you you think is a "telling oversight"?

  • @jasma98

The oversight is partly in what you chose to put on your logo. Having the characters for Shaolin on it must be an oversight, because if you WERE a Wing Chun school, or had any connection to Wing Chun at all, you would NOT have Shaolin on your logo.

If your school is something of a hybrid, ie. you teach some Shaolin, & pinch the best of Wing Chun, etc., that's fine, but then like Yip Chun, you can't claim Wing Chun.

  • @DizzyDerwish Interesting.

  • @DizzyDerwish Every point you have made here is wrong. Perhaps you should do your research before passing comment. You have passion but it's a shame you don't know what you're talking about. All the best :-)

  • do u all know cantonese?

  • @ForgottenCavalry We don't know cantonese but we do our best to know all the wing chun terms in cantonese. We also provide free lessons in Mandarin reading writing and speaking for our members.

  • Hi again Jasma, how are things? The portugal trip was a fantastic success. Sifu was in excellent form as always! The image of him kicking butt on the beach while wearing aviators is a tough one to shake hah!

Im hoping to get the money together for the Hong Kong trip, fingers crossed!

I hope all is well my friend :)

  • respect , keep going , it is honor to npractiing chun with this sifu

  • what is the name of the song ? nice video !!!

  • IP CHUN SLAPPED HIM!! hahaha!

  • @ab1azee I thought that was cool too and I was the guy who got slapped! I use that technique on my students now and I always tell them that it's from Ip chun!

Respect to you and your channel..Good taste in music.

  • Thanks. it's called Da Nei Qun Ying by Jonny ip. You can find it on itunes. If you have any difficulty finding it let me know. I don't know your sifu but I have seen the clip of him doing chi sau with Ip Chun at Sha Tin last year. Very good skills and very respectful. Both men have nothing to prove. World class wing chun. All the best.

  • wing chun by iits self is not good in a real fight though

  • Thanks. All the best with your training.

  • a month ago I win a fiht against 3 guys using just wing chung movements and believe me, it was a real street fight

  • Well done. My first wing chun sifu used to say "we want to keep the peace but sometimes others won't let us keep the peace. We always win, they must always loose!" Keep up the good work.

  • @jasma98 thanks for that how long will it take to get most of the moves i have been doing it for about 2-3months i have noticed a great improvement (mashallah) and i have lernt a lot of discipline i wish to carry this on through my life and hope to pass it down to keep the traditionalism in Yip Mans wing chun, who knows we might be training together one day keep up your work

  • boxing and wing chun owns

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you!

  • I've been wanting to learn Wing Chun but cannot find a place that teaches it.

  • Do u live in a desert?

  • jasma very nice :)

  • bronney, thanks for watching our vid and for your kind comment.

    jasma98

  • Hi jasma, nice vid. Loved the chi sau'ing at 5.10, some nice speed going on there.

Im also lucky enough to be studying under GM Kwok up at Lancaster University :)

You should come along to the portugal trip this easter! Im helping to organise it, so if your interested just get in touch.

    Oli

  • Hey ozzie1246. Thanks for the comment. Did you go to Hong Kong with GM Kwok in 2007?

  • Unfortunately i didn't, I wasn't doing WC at that time! You can bet your boots if I was I would have been there though haha.

  • I like your enthusiasm! Looking forward to meeting you soon. Lets keep in close contact and do our best to assist sifu in promoting the Ip Man wing chun family. Have a great day bro.

  • wonderful !!!! you are a great warrior !!!!

  • Thank you. It was my tai chi sifu who taught me to have courage and to be brave. My wing chun sifu helped me practice with realistic combat drills. Greetings to you JulienMurray

  • how long did it take you guys to get that fast at 5:20?

  • Took me 2 years to build that speed. In 06 I was in Foshan and got owned by one of the instructors at the Kwok fu school. The guy used his Pheonix eye fist and kept striking my forehead like he was knocking on a door! Lol. I went back in 2007 and got my own back. Afterwards, my sifu at the time was very pleased and praised my "chain palm". So from 2007 I worked on increasing my speed ( just incase I meet that guy again)! I think you could get that speed in a much shorter length of time. :-)

  • @jasma98 Lol! Nice!! what about the time it took to learn wing chun?

  • From 99 to 2001. (Took a break from classes). Then from 2006 to present. So call it 6 years under two instructors and 4 years self taught. Again. You can learn Wing Chun in a much shorter time. My students have been with me for 18 months and two of them are better than I was when I'd been training for 3 years!

  • 4:54 to 5:20 it's like sissy fight

  • Hold on samfong123..."sissy" who uses that word? I looked at your channel to see who is this mighty warrior who dares insult my masterly kung fu skills. Who did I find? Sam Fong that's who. How can you call someone sissy with a name like sam (short for samantha)? You play "ping pong" and listen to Linkin park? Come on mate, surely you could find a more "manly" & less "sissy" way to pass the time? You also asked someone to suck your two balls because you hate his mum? bro you got issues! Lol ;-)

  • haahha samfong got owned!

Anyway great movie! This inspired me to train Wing Chun! but I live in Norway, hard to find people who is teaching that. Looks pretty cool! and i just love the scene where u trained at sunset! Great!

  • I AGREE WITH YOU COMPLETELY FULL THOUGHT. Why would anyone in earth insult ip man related stuff?

  • Hey alfaCS88, It's Jonny Ip singing Da Nei Qun Ying from the album Emi Xing Xing Chuan.

  • I disagree completely. Have you been in a fight? Have you even practiced any martial arts? Its called starting out slow, and getting faster and better through practice. 5:20 was some fast work! I would hate to get in a fight with those guys..nice work! Now lets see you fight one of these guys and find out who's the real sissy.

  • ;-)

  • jackie chan singing?

  • nice one Jeff. it's me simon by the way, if you check my videos, i have posted some china trip from 2009.

  • NIce one simon. Hope all is well. Looking forward to catching up with you guys again soon.

  • i love watching the block techniques. moreso, i love watching how to break thru the opponent's guard. i dont think im going to london anytime soon, so i have to stick with my dojo upnorth in chicago. this video inspires me to continue training cos i am aiming to become a grandmaster. love the hard work and the discipline and overall balance wing chun brings to my life. thank you 4 this.

  • Thanks for the feedback volchaise. It is very encouraging and makes me want to work even harder to refine and improve my technique and that of my students. Please visit us if you ever come to London. All the best.

  • hey dude,, so is this ur masters video ,,, hey tell me in which country the classes or goin on ,,,, give me the details,,, i need them ,,,, this guy seems to b a great one,, ip chun,,,wow,,,, tell me where can i find him

  • Hey Prepari, Thanks for your kind words. classes are based in london uk. you can see web details in the vid information. All the best. jasma.

  • one of the worst wing chun "masters" I ever seen. And I seen them alot. It's so sad that whing chun became so distorted. And the ideas especially. And that is a common in amerca where people don't think in the right way.

    Lap sao - very bad

Chi sao - the worst ...

  • Thanks for your comment :)

  • you should be raped for your pathetic remarks!

  • Thanks for your support and for watching our vid. :-)))

  • This does inspire ! fantastic vid! its great to see that people of different backgrounds are welcomed to learn !

  • Hey Nikimbo, Thanks for your support. We had the honour of having lunch with Ip Chun on his 85th birthday 3 weeks ago and then training with Ip Ching in the evening. Our students are from different backgrounds and cultures. Some professional and some unemployed. Some with masters degrees and some with basic education. We all love Wing Chun and value the privilege of learning this wonderful martial art. All the best :)

  • awesome vid bro!. makes me wanna get off my couch! and have a break from just making k-fu music vids and actually do some real k-fu!. time will tell if i do!. 10/10

  • Thanks for the 10/10. I'm glad that our vid makes you feel like training. I get the same feeling when I watch the Ip Man movie! All the best bro :)

  • outsider learn the asian way that the first time ever . lucky not secret vietnames martial arts( if you dont know ho to talk we dont learn the way that what my master sayed ).

  • Thanks for watching our vid and thanks for your comment drewishere20 :)

  • I have been looking around for stronger win chun and also the iaw-uk looks very powerful. check it out. jasma

  • good to see some hard and direct attacks in this clip. wing chun should be stronger like this to work for us girls.

  • Thanks for your comment. I agree with your opinion and am grateful for your complement. I hope your training is going well. Keep in touch. Regards from London.

    .

  • tournaments doesnt mean anything. Bruce Lee never went to the tournament, bruce lee was a street fighter where anything goes. Bruce Lee's style was designed to *win* *a* *fight*, not to earn points. Bruce Lee always won every single street fights and also every single person that went into the tournament. Just watch my *Bruce Lee the Unbeatable* video, maybe you will understand from Sijo Demille. Double click my name to see my video.

  • I had the pleasure of training with Sifu Jeffrey in New York recently. A very good kung fu man and a genuine gentleman. All the best to you my brother!

    -Sifu Tony Massengill

  • Att: Spiderman . i'm a Boxer/Streetfighter. In all of my fights that I have in the ring & out combined are about 65 fights I never once went down to the ground once. I do have high school wrestling experience 6 years & MuayThai. A True Boxer or smart street fighter would never let a Grappler get that close to begin with. Good footing hand eye, speed, and power combination will def beat any grappler indeed ! All a grappler has is nothing unless U go 2 the ground, Unless Ur a Rickson Gracey !!!

  • u make a good point, i never thought of it like that

  • Really good ..awesome video

  • Greetings hssm87, thanks for that great comment and for subscribing...more to come soon. :-)

  • HI Jasma,my Sifu is Stephen Dyde, one of Samual Kwoks most distinguished and repected student in the UK,check him out on W,O,M,A, tv. [world of martial arts tv]

    Yes im a lucky guy!

    best regards

    Gareth

  • i think wing chun is good but not great, this style is all about countattack which is good but happens if a person grabs your wrist or forearm, your pretty much done for

  • Thanks for watching and for your comment. hope your training is going well. Best wishes to your sifu and training bro's / sisters. Jasma98

  • Hi Spiderman,

How much WingChun have you experianced to be able to make such a comment/statement?,,,,i guess not a lot then,,,

    Kind regards spidey

    Gareth : )

  • i don't have any experience in wing chun but i do study mma and this style doen't have any grappling, image if the fight was taking to the floor, u have no defense cuz this style is a stand up fight, it's like a boxer vs a wrestler, who would win, it's toss up. the boxer would be throwing his or her punches but it the wrestler takes him/her to the floor the fight is over, remember what Bruce lee said, no style is the best style, that's all i'm saying

  • good point spidey,,the only limits wingchun has are the ones you create for yourself, one must free think,in a real fight it dont look good on cctv when your wailing centerline punches on the aggresser, you might be the criminal in the eyes of the police, and the police wont listen. But if you used a BJJ choke when close you would still be morally correct in the eyes of the coppers as they couldnt tell whats acually happening,i respect all martial art,i come from tai chi an mma to WC :) takecare bro

  • ight Gaz, good luck in your training

  • Interesting point. WC is a fighting art not a sport. It trains the usage of combat weapons as well as empty hand vs multiple opponents. The aim is to end the conflict very quickly. It's not a show or spectator event. It's a system based on principles that apply to any situation so works standing up or on the ground. It's a big mistake to grab the wrist or forearm of a WC person as that plays to our advantage! Best wishes and I hope the training's going well :-)

  • how do one study mma, do u even know wat mma even means but nvm that..wat u mean it doesnt have a defense every style got a defense u cant have a style complety where u punch n kick like a dumbass there always a defenses, n of course no style is the best style because they are all the best depending on wat u want to learn from

  • Greetings to you spiderman. I'm am pleased by your comments re wing chun not being a great martial art. I have limited experience of wing chun and tai chi myself but i have learned from studying their history that both styles make attempts to keep the most effective and deadly skills hidden. I think they have done a good job because people seem unaware that these arts (when properly trained) can literally kill with one blow but are used to create persons of good moral standing. All the best. :)

  • I think spiderman never really faught a real street fighter/Boxer in the street on concrete ! I dont think he really know how much asphalt hurts while scraping the skin off of him lols. Let him be!

  • for your information, i've been in alot of street fights before i took mma, and i'll admitt i wasn't good but now i know i can defense myself but i'm not going to put myself in a streetfight cuz a weapon is always involved, not many ppl have, they'll rather shoot u and call it a day, y waste a minute when somebody can end it in a second. i live NYC and u go to the brooklyn and bronx with your street fighter skills, their pull a gun on u, honestly

  • any style can kill with one blow, a person can punch somebody really hard in the head, like put their entire weight behind the punch and turn the other person into a tomato, i've study mma for 3 years and the style my school uses is goju and we do practice wing chun blocks and punch

  • You make a good point there. There is a saying in martial arts that even a master can be beaten by a novice with one punch!

All the best to you Spider Man and good luck for your training in the future.

  • wow those are some big rings that master ip man is using :D ownage

  • lol grandapa ownage

  • Lol..Hey JonnyYu, believe me...He is fast!

  • I really enjoyed this video and loved the instrumental and music you used for it. Do you think you could post it or send it to me?

  • Hi WorriorBoy I'm pleased that you enjoyed the vid. The music is called Da Na Qun Ying by Johnny Ip. You can find that on I tunes. All the best buddy.

  • That's really helpful, but I actually meant the hip-hop instrumental in the tail end of the video! Thank you though!

  • Hey WarriorBoy, The instrumental is called train diligently by dj bobby fab.

  • I really appreciate that, and thanks for the great video.

  • welcome. :-)

  • its great to see wing chun families such as this with such a great outlook on it all,the scence of pride and love for what we do,something i will be a part of for a long time, great video!hats off to you!

  • Thanks brenofu, i will pass your kind words on to the students attending class tonight. Respects to you and your sifu :-)

  • Cool stuff jasma! i saw sifu sam kwok in the video he is very good!

    regards Gareth

  • Thanks Gareth. In my experience I have found Sifu Kwok to be a great Wing Chun man who loves the art and and does his best to promote the traditional Ip family interpretation of Wing Chun. He has many loyal and dedicated students who themselves are world class and I am proud to be part of his family as well as the wider wing chun community. All the best to you and yours.

  • Jasma98, Thank you for your kind words. Im Glad that you recived the title as Sifu. keep up the good work

"We can do no great things; only small things with great love."

With all do respect // Sifu M.

  • Jasma98. How long have you been in Hong Kong and studdied? have you become any sifu or some yet? if thats the case how long time did it take for you because you were training in Hong Kong.

I wish you good luck and may the path of peace and love be a path of yours // Sifu M.

  • Hi Shiifu, I started training in 1999 in London. I was granted Sifu status in Dec 2007. I travel to hong kong and China at least once a year for the last 4 years. My Wing Chun skill is still developing and I have a lot to learn. I know the path is long so I thank you for your wishes of good luck and your very kind words. Peace and love to your and yours. jasma98.

  • Hi Vojak3. Thanks for taking the time to watch my vid. I'd like you to do something for me..and yourself. Spend some time to think about the things that are good about yourself. e.g your skills, your virtues or the things your best friend or mother would say to describe you. wright them down on a sheet of paper and read them every day. This will help you develop a sense of self worth, self value and self respect. Any time you feel sad just remind yourself of how great and wonderful you are. ;-)

  • I just started and I love it.
