i have a similar boat (dell quay john dory) 14ft. what do you guys think about putting an 85hp yamaha on it? would it be too dangerous or worth risking? tnx :)

think that motor needs to be brought down about 4 inches... gain more hpr and speed...

13 ft. Whaler is rated at 40 Hp,This Motor is probably a 60 mercury...AND IS UNSTABLE,The Coast Guard or Game Warden would be all over his boat!!!

man these boats ride so much better on their stern's.. u shud trim the engine up a bit n then it will get more speed =p
