  • I was blown away by his singing of the role of Radames in the Sophia Loren acted Renata Tebaldi sung Aida. Film. His singing was incredible and I loved the way he did Verdi. Later heard him opposite Callas on a recording of a live Met Broadcast of Lucia and have been collecting anything by him I can find. What a shame he is not better known and appreciated. H e was exceptional

  • hes no gigli but all in all a solid performance

  • Nice voice, but sounds like he is having a little trouble in this clip. He sounds a shade under the pitch throughout much of the aria, and at the end his voice seems to be trembling a bit. Maybe under the weather this day.

  • @FacePaster Agreed. The voice truly becomes hard to tame when it's cold. This is what I feel when I try to sing in cold days.

  • I too like his timbre a lot, but am I the only one who thinks his vibrato was all over the place?

  • the speaker translate "Recondita" with "strange". Not correct. It means "hidden" This aria talks about the different beauty of women.

  • I didnt understand a word what he was singing but truly awesome voice.

  • HOLY SHITE! That voice is exquisite! It has a full, ringing verismo sound, and while not as steady in the higher notes, his phrasing is just lovely.

  • Campora was so underrated, its such a full bodied round bouyant voice

  • Serie B? you all full of you know what. there may be some ultra-high notes that campora isn't perfect on but his lyrical performances stan up with anyone but the pavarottis of the world, thanks for posting this.

Terribile!

  • Beautifully sung. I agree he had to be underrated, perhaps having Parkinson's got in the way of him having more success.

  • Nice to hear these gracious comments. I heard him in concert in the Royal Albert Hall, London. A fine performer.

  • Giuseppe was Bing's favorite tenor, one who inherited Beniamino Gigli's cloak. He went aloft from Parkinson's too soon. A true gentleman and wonderful to perform with.

  • A fine singer, great colleaugue, and very gracious man!!

  • Vastly underrated talent.

Crisp and clear diction. Sincere delivery.

    Likeable stage persona.
