Boy... I really think Edwards blew it on this one. He should have moved even higher to try to get Labonte to push him across. Maybe he didn't have any more room, it's kinda' hard to tell from this angle.

I didnt expect him to win any more this year. what I wanted to see though was strong finishes. like some top 10 finishes. im not saying he has no skill, far from it. anyone who can race these is a legend in my book. he just cant hang with the front runners. Granted he did well today but again, its a super speedway. But in all fairness people are still waiting for Joey Logano to break out.
the 2007 finish was FAR more exciting than this. 2011 500 was boring for the most part TBH. too many 2 car tangos. what's better than a drag race down the front straightaway while the big one happens right behind it all with a margin of victory at .02 seconds? plus, the race weekend for 2007's 500 was full of all sorts of excitement (finding dubious liquid in Waltrip's manifold, etc).
Congrats to Bayne. He earned it! He had had a great car all day. He may become a very solid Spint Cup driver. Congrats to Carl aswell, he came out of nowhere to finish 2nd, 1st in points!
