@youthrevival101 true, adding or taking away from scripture is wrong, but here... he takes jesus' story (which was about God, sinners, and pharasiees..and he takes the story and says what each character ends up doing in the end... how the phar. wouldn't wouldn't be glad about the repentance of sinners. instead the phar. hate. and eventually end up killing God (jesus) ..its not twisting scripture or anything...its just finishing up the parable with how it ended in reality! :D

What a magnificent sermon. One that brings great honour to God Almighty; John shows God's great love and mercy in the parable about the prodigal son. Who could not love and praise God for this great merecy onto those that would acknowledge their wrong doing and turn back to the truth.

A modern puritan... I just read Iain Murray's 2 volume biography on Martyn Lloyd-Jones and it reminded me, in many ways, of John MacArthur. Men like him don't have gifts, they ARE gifts! Thanks for posting this video.

@bgerst23 Pastor MacArthur does NOT preach that the 7th Trumpet is the Rapture. It is blown by an ANGEL as the 7th Judgment: Earthquake & mighty hailstorm. Jesus' VOICE sounds like a Trumpet: Revelation 1:10 & 4:1. His VOICE is the Trumpet we hear at fhe Rapture. 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 & 1Corinthians 15:50-54 "When the Chief Shephard APPEARS, you will RECIEVE a Crown of Glory..." 1Peter 5:4 The elders (12 Apostles & 12 OT Prophets) in Rev. 4:1-5 HAVE their Crowns. We get ours with them.

This sermon broke my heart. Not because it was a bad sermon but because Johnny Mac opened my eyes to the fact that for ten years of my Christian life I have been stuck in goo goo gaa gaa mode because nobody ever taught me the Scriptures like this. Ten years! Reading the Bible daily and only seeing the surface level superficial, eisegetical, evanjellybean interpretations I have always known. I realized after this sermon that I know almost nothing about the Scriptures! T

John MacArthur is probably the best Bible teacher alive today, but is not the only faithful expository preacher out there. When churches got away from catechisms, confessions, expository preaching, doctrine, and teaching their members to use the great puritan writings of the past, it all went down hill, into a man-made, man-centered gospel. I grew up in the church, thought I was saved, but wasn't.

well we have to be straight up with sin, and Mark has even said that it was sin, however he continues in it and continues to feed off of garbage movies and music and encourages others to do the same, the bible is clear
