I don't understand why MuchMusic has to be as stupid as it is now. They showed mediocre stuff before. However, it was in the way MusicMusic of yesteryear showed this stuff and discussed this stuff that made MuchMusic groundbreaking, special and, Canadian. CTVGlobeMedia, the company that now owns Much, is a corporation with only the stockholders in mind. MuchMusic now only appeals to the masses of idiot teens that eat up crap programming. This really hurts me. This is really sad.

MuchMusic is a horror show of mediocrity. I miss the days when the presenters had a bizzare sense of humour, and were smart-talking, culturally aware, and cosmopolitan. Ziggy Lawrence, Erica Ehm and Sook Yin Lee, Dan Gallagher, Simon Evans, Master T, Bill Welychka. Where are they? How could something so smart and so renegade degenerate into idiocy like what MuchMusic is now. The VJs now are just 'hot.' They have nothing unique to offer. They are not smart.

I know that the fans did have SOME input when it comes to who gets to become the new VJ but be honest here, Much pretty much just rigs everything. If nothing was rigged and it was all up to the fans then Andrew would have won because he has a HUGE internet fanbase, with an awesome sense of humor. Or maybe Nadine would have won.
